newz is the place to get the latest filez, generaly files are shared on newsgroups before they reach bit. and especially klite.
correct, even irc most of the time, check nfonews or any other news gourp search engine
about the topic, you have to remember that even if everyone was 512k you would only be able to manage what everyone can upload at which is 32KB/s
