keikan, if you have the space, start your own "bone yard", leave it alone
and when you need something for a new project, you can do as Lynx
said ...strip it out. Leaving it in tact for now, will also show you later how it went together and also
what it is for. If you don't have the space then go with mad cat ,linx ,clocker or rossco's suggestions. they are all worth looking into.

it is the small things that usually drive us mad

why not just use it as a 2nd pc, or as a test station, and put sleek version of windows on it using www.litepc.com or linux, and experiment,

also what do you mean by workstation???

Just dismantled a VERY old pc and found it had a turbo switch.

This is a tiny two-way switch with a three pin header at the other end. Perfect for remote bios reset operation.
    .
Political correctness is based on the principle that it's possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

i have accumulated a few of those switches what with two old cases, three old power supplies, and my parents got a new fan that goes over top the stove (you know those vent thing) and i took the high\low\off switch off of it.
