In school i was asked out by girls more often than i asked them out. When i turned 14 girls a lot of girls started noticing me when they had ignored me before.

It was probably because i had a growth spurt at that time

@ Gembs, just ask if you want a date with me , but not now cos i've got to go out

    Cool

Yep have to agree all is fair in love and war, it's cool for a lady to ask a gent out for a stroll along the promenade, and maybe a ice cream cone.

Some ladies don't really outwardly ask but flirt so blatently it's pretty much the same, I have been fortunate to have been asked out by a young lady on a couple of occasions, and on at least one occasion she wasn't even part of my family

If it had been left up to me to do the asking, I never would have dated because I was too shy to ask.

Not that I didn't wish I could get my nerve up.

I don't think it is fair that guys have to do all the asking, and think it is great that girls do now.

I have never asked a guy out on a date. Its not that I feel that its wrong, but I am too scared. Maybe thats why I spent almost 4 years without a boyfriend.

    Good point.....

edit: funny how what you were looking for can sometimes be right under your nose where its almost too close to see isn't it...

still not entirely comfortable with being 'with someone' tho....

It is for girls to demonstrate interest, it for guys to ask them out.

Girls have always "asked" guys out by their body language and eye contact.

If you call a guy up and ask him out he will always say "yes" unless you are odious.

Why? He thinks he has the upper hand and will use you for sex.

She looks "good enough to fuck" is the reasoning they will use.

There is nothing wrong with asking a guy out, in fact, my female friend is married to a guy she asked out, but for the youngsters out there, this will end in a bad way for the woman.

A smile, eye contact, helping to prolong a conversation and un-necessary physical contact are all the clues a guy needs to ask you out.

Since you never actually committed an overt act, you can still maintain the upper hand.

A good trick to get his attention is to bump into him by "mistake". You can read his reaction to the situation. Even a shy guy will give you a look. Complete disinterest means exactly that.

I used this on a girl I was unsure about, and it worked big time. She was completely disinterested
