talk club and WN&E appear to have merged
it’s an election with no Democrats, in one of the whitest states in the union, where rich candidates pay $35 for your votes. Or, as Republicans call it, their vision for the future.

Does that mean I have to have proof to back my posts now, links and all that rigid stuff?Originally Posted by vidcc

Well, I will try to keep my mouth shut in here now. Kind of.....well sort of. Okay, I will give it my best shot. Which isn't necessarily a good solid shot, but it will be my best shot.
R.I.P World News and Events (previous known as "the iraq war forum")
Well, I wanted it called "The Drawing Room."
However, I would have kept the two forums seperate, since they had a much different flavour. But it's a waste of space.
things are quiet until hitler decides he'd like to invade russia
so, he does
the russians are like "OMG WTF D00DZ, STOP TKING"
and the germans are still like "omg ph34r n00bz"
the russians fall back, all the way to moscow
and then they all begin h4xing, which brings on the russian winter
the germans are like "wtf, h4x"

Well, to call this "The Talk Club" purely sucks.
Heading-wise, it's not significantly different from the Lounge, and, to be perfectly persnickety about it, there is no "talking" going on.
WN&E evolved from the Lounge due to a need for a place for event-driven debate/argument/discussion, and THAT is the precise reason it was called WN&E, rather than something as innocuous and vapid as "The Talk Club".
In my humble opinion, this ought to be addressed and corrected forthwith.

agreed; this view would probably hold for those who mainly posted in WN&E...
Do you know everything? do you know 3% of everything? Could it be that what you don't believe in is in the other 97%?
