I remember torrenting when SuprNova was a new site. I wanted to download anime, and I ended up at SuprNova. It was a long time ago. I was a little kid. :P
I must live in a crazy place seeing as the max upload for both ISPs in my city is less than 768kbps. :P Nice giveaway! Happy holidays :)
I think they're gonna flop. But seriously.. I could care less whether they succeed or not. So many trackers pop up everyday with the same 0-day content.. and this new "br" site is just copying other...
I would rather not spend my money on these things. And just like another poster in the topic, too lazy to go and buy things. :)
$15 a month. Its a shared box with a little over 50GB, and uT webui. Kimsufi shared with 4 people. I get great speeds for the price, about 7MB/s (megabytes) download and upload.
But I'm thinking...
poor guy lol
at least he isnt disabled on hdbits.
I would choose a European server being as almost all seedboxes are Leaseweb, OVH, Hosting-Ie (keyweb), Vectoral.. so on.
Not many boxes are US. But yes, bandwidth is cheaper in Europe so you'll...
No, GB and 95 percentile are two different things.
If your bandwidth is limited, such as 2TB, then if you go over, you will be charged .10 Euro per GB like bt234 stated.
But if you have...
1.5mbit is not good enough. Servers usually have at least 10mbit, which isn't too great, and most of them come with 100mbit ports. There are even some with gigabit ports.
1.5 is not going to do...
host a few personal sites, host some proxies, do a bit of shoutcasting, and finally, torrent.
Yup slayer2005 = perfect for you. PM him and he'll set you up.
You have to unblock the port in your server manager using the OVH control panel. (The same place where you reinstall your server, reboot, etc)
try rebooting box through leaseweb ssc.. if it doesn't come back up just mail them and ask them to reset your firewall rules. they'll do it for free, or at least they did back when i was with them.....
routers used in datacenters are not like the ones people use at home... you have a dedicated ip so there is no port forwarding. if you're using win2003 though you probably have tcp/ip filtering on....
Unfortunately, things like this are going to continue to happen. But SuperTorrents deserves to die. That P2L is crazy. :/
I download 720p, 1080p, xvid, and DVDR.
720p/1080p I watch on my computer.
Xvid depends.. most of the time computer but sometimes I'll put it on the 360 to watch it on the TV.
DVDR i burn and...
FTP them to your box.
Maybe you should try 1.7.7? I'm sticking with it. I plan on moving to uT 1.8 in a few months. Maybe next year.
Haha nice. I wish I had neighbors like that.. then I could torrent with my different computers and be able to upload at more than my speed. Anyway, I have DSL. $35 for 5 megabit (my line is bad, so...
Leaseweb = :D perfect You won't be disappointed..
I doubt that, when I used public trackers way back in 03, the DMCA notices were by email.
but i forgot to put, i think the rdns is in OVH panel.
set reverse dns for your server, but it doesnt hide it. if you right click, and uncheck resolve ips, you can see everyone's ip.
Don't offer your invites then.[/quote]
Why? Those are perfectly acceptable things to ask for. Anyway, thanks to the OP for giving people a chance. :)
They do look at your box, they knew exactly what I was torrenting. A server is not supposed to be used for ILLEGAL torrenting, because they don't care if its not copyrighted. VPSes generally are not...
