I had a lu100 vps for about a month while i was there. I gotta say the customer service is pretty good the problem is the servers are real slow. Dead slow. I never got speeds over 10mbps for either upload or download. If you try and log in it sometimes takes 5 mins.

On top of that the owner actually increased the price saying currency fluctations was making it impossible for him to break even, which on average was only 5-30 cents for my package.

    Guess this country:
-Child porn is legal to possess.
-Home of lolicon & enjo kosai
-Subways are littered with "Warning: Perverts lurking" signs
-Has women only subway cars because of the high sexual assault rates
-Cartoon child porn is a $6 billion industry
-90% of child porn on the internet is from this country
-Ranked equally with Cambodia and Ethiopia for prostitution

How long ago did you dump your VPS? It would have toof been a few weeks ago, which begs the question why so long to post a review? The current system upgrades which are largely, if not totally complete after todays updates, have resolved any performance issues. Users frequently get full speed in both directions, response times of the VPS are improved as well. It was well known we were trying alternate setups to resolve the problems, and we did.

With the prices, you miss the big picture. The 100gb plans were sold at a loss while the others a small profit, which balanced out, sort of. Drop 20 cents on the dollar in the past 2-3 months, tack on Paypal fees & lower than official exchange rates, there's your difference made up. The largest jump is $3.50 on the smallest plans that had been running a loss, and the largest plans remain unchanged.

Hardly a price rise crippling anyone, just enough to keep us going really. And why can't we raise the price anyways? It was one of the lowest prices around when we started out, we've learned a bunch of stuff, tweaked everything from top to bottom, writing our own back end for a number of user controls. Why can't we actually try to make a bit of money down the road?

Your quality was horrible to begin with and then you raised prices. Paypal fees have always been there. Currency fluctucations for the last 6 months have not been 20 cents on the dollar. Its been moving on avg 1-10% and you can easily hedge against it on your own.

As for prices, the increases didn't really bother me its the sly way you tried to manipulate and lie to your customers in order to get a price increase accepted, felt like you were doing us a favor. Sorry but ill take my business else where and i did.

Not to mention you've admitted to the performance issues which made the vps utter hell.

So why then in February was I exchanging at $1.26 and right now it's $1.06? I wish 20 cents was an exaggeration but it isn't.

Also lol at everything you just said. I've been nothing but honest with users, I've shared financial information with many users on IRC & the forum to show where we're at. If you expect us to continue to run at a loss and be viable in the long term, you need to go back to school for basic economics.

What does old performance issues have anything to do with our current situation, where they're resolved? I also like the avoidance of my question: How long ago did you get rid of your VPS? Obviously before your server was upgraded and performance increased.

Apparently something I said suddenly upset you to come here however many days/weeks later to vent.

I'm also using fastsh, lu100, and after some manual changes (fluxbox + utorrent) i'm very satisfied.
For 20 days, i uploaded more than 1 TB ( and it can be better, i don't have time to change torrents every few hours), in new & hot torrents (TL) speeds are great, i managed to get 10 MB/s (ok, that was one time), but usually for new torrents is 3-4 MB/s. For older torrents 500-600 KB/s (x2,3 torrents at same time). Of course that speed depands of leechers, but if you change torrents regulary you can get good speed at almost all time.

    ROFL...

No offence buddy, but I am NOT a (paying) customer of Six66Mike but I have been quite active on their forums because I am interested in getting services from them. And honestly, making a statement about being sly and high prices; that's just uncalled for; there was a clear and pretty democratic topic on the fastsh.it-forums asking for your thoughts on the exchange-rates.

On the other hand, what if the tabled were turned; you would be paying the old fee but getting less resources for that (and be even more unhappy)? server.lu, where Mike gets his servers, accepts Euro only and that is basically one of 3 strongest monetary items in recent years, especially against the failing/falling dollar (you're quite welcome, Mr. Bush). What if you had a business which only accepted dollars and all of a sudden you saw your margin drop by 20% or more, would you still continue or maybe start selling a bit more expensive to avoid losing inventory, personnel and such?

    Closed.

You have the right to make a review of their service and they have the right to respond to it. Both side have spoken.
