Im planning on buying this video kit from anitec.ca which had everything...

P.S how can i found out if i already have a FIREWIRE PORT on my computer? it is located on the motherboard or video card?

Re: Transfer DV video to Computer through IEEE1394
can anyone confirme what im doing is right?
Re: Transfer DV video to Computer through IEEE1394
if you have a slot somewhere on the outside of the pc which looks like a firewire port, then thats the guy! its a little bigger than a usb connection...google for a pic.
buy a firewire pci card (i got a usb2 and firewire one from ebay) and usually get a cable included.
goto videohelp.com for tutorials on how to transfer the data across - note, youre not encoding at all at this point...then you can encode with your fav software - ulead is pretty good. again, check, videohelp.com
