i tried pam, it stuck to the bottom of the pan. i tried olive oil, stuck to bottom of the pan. now im gonna use butter --if this doesnt work. i will be eating hard boiled eggs, until i buy one of those non-stick pans.

Butter won't work, it'll just burn.
If you don't have a non-stick pan then you need plenty of oil in the pan. An inch or so, you might get away with less, nice and warm. Not to hot though unless you want the egg crispy.
Also put the egg in slowly so it starts cooking as soon as it goes in.
Then it won't stick it'll kind of float in the oil while it cooks.
You are, and I expect you are waiting for this, obviously an eggspert. Considering Easter is rapidly approaching, it would seem prudent to pin this eggseptional guide , were it not such a fragile topic.

I just cooked eggs this morning, but I have a nonstick pan. I always add a little bit of butter in the pan...mom taught me that a longtime ago.

Frying eggs in butter is a wee bit mental.
