What the fuck is this thread doing in the Lounge. A serious discussion about a serious product should be in the technical section of FST, namely...

I expect shit to be discussed in the Lounge, and not for people to make sense.

The only way an organism grows is to put unusual stress upon it.

You are cross-linking to a 5 knuckle shuffle (although with age makes more sense as 4 fingers and a thumb). Assume FoX that works as pointless shite for lounge

I would try this but my Windows remote would no longer work.

Neither would any of the rest of your windows to be fair.

Unless you could do a duel booting system.

Now that is an interesting thought.

I thought of that but not much point that I can see.

I use this remote on both media PCs. Some easy registry tweaks enable me to launch Kodi instead of WMC and fully control Kodi after it opens. Openelec forums has a section related to input devices but a lot of that talk about keymapping goes right over my head so I might be best sticking to what I have.

That's not available just now so you will have to use something else anyway

This looks like a wizard wheeze.

The also do a Pi3 kit with openelec as the OS, which is a neat idea.

Though like I said I've just used an old pc to install it on, works fine.

I think you are too constructive. Shame on you.
However I agree get a Pi. From CPC (http://cpc.farnell.com/raspberry-pi/...-bb45-00001002) with a download to a cheap arse MicroSD from Openelec (http://openelec.tv/get-openelec)

Thanks for the suggestion, however I have more money than thyme so getting everything as a kit is quite attractive.

Like I said I'm just doing it with an older laptop and netbook just now, however I might do a Pi one just for the craic.

    Some nice add-ons recently.

Metalkettle has released Sports Mix, Movie Mix and Live Mix. Sports Mix is quality so far. Just toyed with the other ones but are looking good.

Live Mix does sports, TV and Movies with a few other things e.g. news.

    All good stuff.
