I only touched my first computer a year ago this week.
It lacked a "Turbo button".
Had I only known.

Dang...ease up just cuz he dont know what a turbo button is doesnt mean nething
[SIZE=1]AMD 4200 X2 @ 2.65Ghz, ASRock 939-VSTA
1.75GB PC3200, 2 X 160GB Seagate w/ 8MB Buffer
HIS Radeon X800 Pro, Antec Super Lanboy Aluminum
I am busy adding a Turbo button to my new PC.
Do you think that if I make it switch my PSU from 110v to 220v that it will have the desired "boost" effect?

i think it'd be cool to have a turbo button on your pc. it would be even better now that we have 3.2 ghz CPUs
U RNT LEET LIKE ME!!!!!!!!!11111111111111
I only mean to play games with those who are older Clocker, as for the suggestion of 110 to 220 the answer is this, working/buring in a ball of flame is equal to 110/220...
the turbo switch actually changed the FSB etc... and overclocked it, i have an old computer that has several jumper configurations with On/Off switches for them or "Turbo" Switches, it is there for effect, not as much as actually dramaticly increasing performance...
Also @ clocker, why the hell didn't you say so man??? ! year ago??? we should have had beers, and celebrated!! :beerchug: !!!! Happy Year and a Week!!!
hehehehehe
ohh the turbo switch... hehehehe
You guys don't seem to get it. The 'turbo' mode was 'normal' and non turbo mode was to slow th PC down for older games. The games were designed to run at the speed based on the CPU speed. The newer, faster PCs needed a slow setting to play the games at the right speed.
It's not overclocking. It's slowing it down.
Really?? did i mess up that bad??? what model is it???
Well hell, that's no fun at all.Originally posted by Virtualbody1234@3 December 2003 - 20:37

I can think of lots of ways to slow this thing down.
I can even crash her at will.
Where's the challenge in that?

lol, hehehe i know i could kill my computer in mere seconds if my will desired it...
(although i know my pocketbook won't )
i really thought i knew that one... slowing down a 33,hz was not the problem back then... it was making them go faster... ohh well i guess i was wrong... hmmm...
Clocker, what are you thinking of?
Forget the turbo button, go for nitrous oxide.
If it doesn't work, at least you can have a laugh about it.
