OK guys I've got too movies both of them star Christopher Reeves.

1) a. in the first one he lives in a big house with his wife near a lake
b. He killed his stepdaughter and her ghost keeps coming to haunt him.
c. I think he drowns the girl in the lake.

2) Time travel type of movie.Reeves goes to a small town and moves into an old house I think.There he finds an old locket with a picture of a woman inside it.

He somehow becomes infatuated with her,when he goes to sleep he goes back in time and meets the woman and falls in love with her.

At the end he goes to sleep and never wakes up somehow he has stayed with the woman he loves in the past,and his body is dead in the present.

Hope I was informative enogh to give some clues about the movies. :)

Hi all,

I got a movie for you. I posted this on the main movieworld board. It should be here. Anyways...It's a horror movie that I can't find anywhere!!!

This movie takes place in a country area. I saw it as a kid...so probably from the 80's. I believe the monster is an alien. It is in the forest of course. It "shoots" little ninja-star-looking things. These "things" are alive and attach themeselves to peoples necks and whatnot, consequently killing them...I can't remember what else...I remember it really scared me as a kid. I'd like to see it again...

These things that the alien from the woods throws are fleshy and look like ninja-stars. The spokes on the "star" are claws in this case, which hook into the flesh. The creature is has a mouth at the bottom (attached to the skin), which feeds. I remember some of the actors peeling them off of other characters, but they attacked en masse. Sorry, this one is kinda hard...could be from the 70's...

Tarzan noted that the creature from the movie might have been hunted by some other aliens...but we're not sure.

It's not Phantasm or Invasion of the Body Snatchers...

Ok Guys this movie is a dead easy one I want to download it but can't just remember the damn name of it.

It's one of those Scanner type of movies.
Keith David is Kirk Douglas's Son and has the powers to control things with his mind.
Bad guys are influencing him to use the powers for evil purposes as usual.
His dad is trying to stop him.There is also this Woman who has the powers and they fall in love at some psychic training school.
and the big finale when the girl makes the bad guy explode at the end.
This one should be easy peasy for you movie buffs i think its late 70's or early 80's.

i tihnk it was done in early 90's, its about a post-aplocaliptic world, where all the planet is desert, and the people live in tribes. Their main source of entertainment is a game they've invented, where the aim is to put a dog's skull on a stick. There's no rules to this game and the fight wiv chains and sticks and stuff...amyways the film is about this team that travel from tribe to tribe playin this game, and they end up gettin the chance to play the elite league blah blah.

I have one thats been driving me nuts for almost 2 decades.
It was a 30 min movie, shown as a trailer to Tron in its original theate release (UK).

All I remember is that it starred a group of maybe 6-8 kids.
They hung out in what i remember as being something like a boiler room\
They had special powers, they put their fingertips on their temples
and concentrated very hard then they could do things, not really magic
more like telekenisis(spelling).

I have 2 questions, anyone remember "The gate" ? about some haunted house i think, watched it as a kid, if so can anyone tell me where i can get it from.

2nd question is, anyone know of a film, late 80s i think, about a haunted house with evil spirits etc in and one of the spirits attacks the man in it and there is also another bit where this black smog (spirit) floats through the house into the nextdoors house which happens to be the peoples mum and dads house. ive tried looking for help on this before but people get it confused with other films (well known) I can only remember it being called "The haunted"

After watching Battle Royale it reminded me of this old movie I think it was early 90's.

It starred Rutger hauer as a Theif who is betrayed by his partner whilest doing a job and gets caught.

When he is sent to a prison he has this thing placed around his Neck which is linked to another person in the prison,But no one knows who their partners are.

There are no walls or anything around the prison but if you try to leave the attachment around your neck blows your head off,unless you are with your linked partner.

Rutger hauer somehow finds out who his partner is and escapes the prison to seek revenge on the people who had betrayed him and got him caught.

The name is on the tip of my tongue but I just can't rattle my brain enough to bring it out.

Hi, Was wondering if anyone has heard of an old, (1970-80's) film, i think that it was spanish, or italian.
I think it was called telephone box, phone box :phone: or phonebooth, something like that, telefon box? ARSE! :swear: cant recall.
Not that shite that was made recently, with the sniper, which was a blatant rip off of Liberty Stands Still, with Wes Snipes.
No, this one was a short movie (around 1 hour) , about a bloke who go's into a phonebox which is out of order, tries to make a call, does'nt get through, and then cant get out .
He bangs and shouts, but no one takes any notice of him, :unsure: they just keep on walking.
After a while , or a day, cant remember, a phone company lorry comes long.
Thinking that he is getting freed, the man is happy, untill he finds that the lorry has come to collect booth to take away!
After a long drive......anyway you get my drift, dont want to give the end away, saw this 15 or more years ago on bbc2, there was no channel 4 or 5 then.
If you have saw this you know how it ends, and if you havent , you should see, no subs or anything, I dont think there is any speech of signifigance anyway, more visual type of movie.
Back to point of post, Does anyone have this movie?

I know the movie your talking about,it was more of a half hour episode,it wasn't a feature length movie.

i only saw this movie once like 10 years ago. this guy was a computer programmer or something along those lines. somehow he did something that brought a wizard or computer bad guy that could change stuff at will into real live..or he got dragged into the computer. the baddie had the good guys girlfriend. the good guy had some weird talking galtlent that could do stuff. i think the good guy had to do like 5 quests or something then fight the bad guy to save his gf. so anyone remeber it?

only saw it was a long time ago. the main character is some sort of computer programmer expert or something. starts off him jogging and he charages all the lights to red so he can cross. somehow in the movie some bad guy gets brought into the movie. the baddie steals the good guys girlfriend and forces him to undergo like 5 trials. all i remeber about the trials is that in one of them them he has to run tho the city in 5 minutes or something. all the good guy has to help him is a talking gaulent that can do magic or tricks or something. the baddie can do magic or something. i think the movie MIGHT have Dungeon in the title dont know for sure. so has anyone seen it?

ok heres another old one i use to like. i dont know when it came out, gonna guess late 80s's early 90's. i know nothing of the title at all. it didnt have any famous actors/actresses in it. well the plot is like this. the main character is a small boy and behind his house is like a desert, or more like a real big sand field. he hears something crash there one nite, thinks he may be dreaming but he wasnt. so a few nites later his parents go down there for a late nite picnic. the next day they are really weird. he goes to school. skips school. go to the field sees 2 eeletricins going to check some wires near the field. they come back weird a few hours later. the teacher he hates most at school starts acting weird. finally he goes to the field and happens to get sucked down in the sand and it leaves a big hole. he sees big monsters like really really big Mr. Patato heads with feet and a head lazar thingy. his hated teacher from school is down there and she is using some machines to inject stuff in peoples neck. he escapes and goes home. his parents dont listen and sends him to school. the school nurse belives him for some reason. he takes her to the field she sees the hole or something and after that she really does belive him. they go back to school call miltary. they go to near by base. for some reason the general belives the crazy story and send in the miltary. they go underground. have a huge fight. and theres a happy ending. well thats about it plot wise. sorry i wasnt more helpful with the title. so Notorious think ur magic can help me out again?

Here is what I know. It was a horror movie, it was about a father and son. There was a fat lady that the father ended up killing, choping to peices and burying in different places in his backyard. His son was kidnapped and he climbed thought his bathroom mirror, down a wall with rope to save him.

This is all I remember of this move. These two events may have even appeared in a different order in the movie. Thank for the help and I hope one of you know the title and/or who made it.

OK...I've been looking for someone who can answer this question for over 8 years now.

I saw this movie in the late 1980's for the first time...I think, so it was made before then. Animated, but not anime. Futuristic. Main characters are blue man and woman who are practically naked. At one point, someone gets trapped in an egg-like casing. They team up with mutants to fight the bad guy. One of the mutants looks like he got chopped off at the waiste, and he walks with his hands used as legs. This giant brain makes the main male character sleep for like a thousand years to fix the problem. The brain turns out to be the problem. It had the word "light" in the title, I think. Like lighwaves or lightyears or something. I think this movie may be out of print also.

Ok heres one I've been trying to remember for years! No one seems to know what the hell I'm talking about so hopefully you do.

Ok this was a TV show that came out in the 80's, not sure of the exact date, anyway it was about a family, and the father built this little girl robot, and they were always trying to keep people from finding out she was a robot, like I guess the neighbors were always spying or something, the little girl was creepy as hell, because when her batteries would get low she would start talking all weird and deep voiced like something out of the Excorcist.

It was on for a while I'm pretty sure, 4 maybe 5 years? Don't get me wrong the show was Godawful, but its killing me that I cant remember what it was called, and nobody I've talked to seems to remember it. Any ideas?

It was probably made in the late 80s to early 90s. About a guy who had really bad luck with whatever he did. I remember he got a bee sting when he was allergic to bees, and in the last scene when he was standing on a dock of a river, it broke off from shore and he floated away. I think he also ended up with a girlfriend who had equally bad luck, but i&#39;m not sure.

The first is about a chappy who lives in like this special city, its all enclosed, anyway when they get like middle aged they have to kill them selves, i think they had a jewel or something, the main chappy is supposed to get the people who dont kill themselves but then runs away and meets an old man outside, i think he had cats or dogs or something and they are all happy that he is old, then they go back and theyre are explosions and stuff and everyone is all happy

Second- There is a big spaceship and this man is a gardener, he has 3 robots which help him, anyway he finds his garden is dying and can&#39;t see why, i think one of the robots goes a bit mad, anyway he contacts other people (earth or a ship or something) and he finds he is on the wrong side of venus? and thus there isnt enough sun, stuff happens, and either he leaves onto another ship and robots stay, or i think he may run out of oxygen or something and then the ship carries on into the distance with the robots, which i think i cried about :( (hey i was young&#33;)

Third- its one of those Japanese animated ones, there is a big turtle/brain and has lots of little pods with people inside, this kid sees his dad/mum/girlf? inside a pod and kills the big thing (this is near the end) i saw it in 1994/5ish when i was in japan, and saw it again in 95 in england, with subs. had quite a bit of swearing in it i believe.

The film is about the bomb being stuck on the spacecraft, instead of on a planet its suposed to blow up. The movie ends with the bomb going off and its crew surfing into a distant sun....

Hi Everyone, I&#39;ve got 2 for y&#39;all to figure out.

1) Non-english movie. Colour, possibly early eighties or even earlier. sci-fi/fantasy type. really weird scenes like:
a) This long sequence about this dude taking his crap and transforming it into gold.
B) There was this female tourist in the city where a policeman pushes her up against the wall and proceeds to have sex with her. She gets excited and happy and asks a passerby to take photos. btw, it&#39;s not a porn movie.
c) Some priest sort of person goes on a mission to recruit a bunch of weirdos from different worlds. I dunno what for, cuz I never finished watching the movie.
d) I seem to remember this woman dying and her soul was trapped in a basin of water which the rest of the gang then proceeded throw away......or something like that.

2) I think that it&#39;s non-english as well. Can&#39;t remember much of it, just that this guy had extremely bad luck. The movie finished with the guy walking off (or cycling off, i can&#39;t remember) towards a signpost which said "Hell".

The movie starts off with this school girl commiting suicide. A mentally challenged guy picks up her suicide note beside her body. His friend (the male lead) takes the note away and is then plagued by dreams of the dead girl.

The male lead, our hero, is this gangster wannabe with a heart of gold. He&#39;s got a love interest who&#39;s dying of a kidney disease. He tries to raise money for her operation thru less than legal means.

His sidekick, the mentally challanged chap, gets a nose bleed every time the girl is near, even before they are close enough to see her.

At the end of the movie, everyone dies. The girl succumbs to her disease, the sidekick gets beaten and shot to death, and our hero kills himself.

firstly its probably from the seventies/eighties or before, its a horror/thriller of some sort.I remember lots of scenes in a forest with a tomb of some sort in the middle,there was lots of running away and the main protagonist (a young girl i think) was wearing a long, flowy ,gothic dress.It was her against the evil forces against the world, type thing. Think she was lying on the tomb at one point... maybe dead... bit unsure... could have been her ghost.

(PuK -understable if you dont get this one with that desciption... moving on the the next)

The second is a horror from the 80s or 70or slightly earlier.Its based in a highschool and adjoining dorms. Its all to do with a teacher telaconetic forces,and the ability to set things alight at will. she can lock doors and in one scene sets the swimming pool and a girls dorm. alight, killing the student girl.The teacher is pure evil and I remember the teacher had really bad big/hairspray held hair&#33;It was quite atmospheric in an old style way.Im sure its a classic but know one knows what im on about&#33;Please help&#33;

Ok, I can remember another scene from the first wierd fantasy/sci-fi movie. There&#39;s this scene with this large cube-like machine standing 8 feet tall (looked like it was made out of cheap cardboard). Anyway, the machine itself had parts which represented the female anatomy. There were these bunch of servants who then, by means of several equally large &#39;toys&#39;, proceeded to bring that machine to a big "O", if you catch my drift. This represented yet another world in that movie.

Other worlds included a gladiator-type place and .......... well can&#39;t remember anything else. It&#39;s not a porn, but there&#39;s just soooooo much sexual imagery in the whole movie.

I can&#39;t remember anything else about the 2nd movie, so don&#39;t worry about that one&#33;

Hmm, very strange. I can think of several cartoons wich involve a &#39;distress call from earth&#39; and a few with &#39;spaceships with solar sails&#39; but none of them both.

Nexus already posted two I was thinking of.
I also thought of &#39;Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors&#39; (Has the ship with solar sails but hasn&#39;t got that distress call and it was never dubbed as I recall)
And also &#39;Treasure Planet&#39; (fits the 18th century ships with solar sails perfectly but is far too recent)

Perhaps you combined two series/movies into one?

I&#39;m pretty sure I didn&#39;t mix up any movies/series ... I&#39;ve been searching for the past five years without luck myself.
Some more stuff I forgot last time : I saw this on Belgian TV , it didn&#39;t look Japanese (no anime , not quite sure about that) and the "ship" had a bottom deck with a large forest in it - growing some sort of large berries . (No , I&#39;m NOT hallucinating &#33;)

i have a movie that i&#39;d like to know the name of. all i can remember from it was, its a sort-of "end of the world/nuclear war" type movie, and the only sceen i can remember is, towards the end of the flick, a guy is standing on a roof of a large building in a city, and he sees like 3 nuclear missiles flying overhead. i think the movie was made late 70&#39;s/early 80&#39;s maybe. :flowers:

number 2 is frome creep show 2 and is called the raft. It was adapted from the stephen king story of the same name.In my opinion it was the only eposode of creep show 2 worth watching.Happy holidays everyone.

Could any anime buffs help me with this one?

I remember watching an anime were there was this boy who belonged to gang and he meets this super girl who&#39;s escaped from a Akira style special child institute who can turn into a robot, It devolops from there. It&#39;s really long (Must be 4 hours possibly a mini series turned into a film) and the story changes loads. It was also very gory, I remember a bit were the girl is running away with some children and they get their heads blown to bits (Graphic too). Very nasty and had a naked child too at one point.Shocked it was on T.V it was on at like 4 in the morning.

Another one was a about a two waring kingdoms ( style) and it begins with a young soldier and a kind of smart trickster Anime stereo type behind enemy lines. There is alot of fighting in giant mechs that look like "Iron Man" which they dig up from the ground. It&#39;s obviously high budget and the animation is top notch. I remember it being very good. I think it might be one of Miyazaki&#39;s lesser knowen ones.

The first might be it. The story seems about right. I just remember it being utterly disgusting and seemed to lack any moral bounds, I just checked on IMDB it isn&#39;t right.

ok...it&#39;s a martial arts movie...70&#39;s-80&#39;s, color...not sure. when a fight is about to happen they do a close up freeze frame of each combatant in the air and it says something like "iron fist style" and then shoots to the other guy "frozen knuckle style". i saw it once in 94...i think whenever a new character was introduced they did a freeze frame and the picture was colored differently as they annonced their fighting technique.

also another asian movie 70&#39;s-80&#39;s, color....all i remember is the battle scene....on a grassy hill one commander sits on a throne on the hill and the different regiments have elaborate flags....and they set up their armies into different formations kinda like chess....damn...thats really all i can remember.

Sorry bruiser, but both descriptions are rather general.

The first one is very typical for the martial arts movies of that time, so a lot of movies have those &#39;freeze-frame-close-up-shout-attack&#39; kinda things. (which has subsiquentially been copied ad infinitum by the Power Rangers for example)

And the second one is perhaps even more non-specific. Look for any asian movie with a large battle-scene and 99% will have a general looking over his army shot.

So if you could provide us with anything more specific, I&#39;m sure we could find some results.

I did a search on Google, saw the poster and it wasnt it, Although on that same site I saw SpiderBabe that I may give a shot at,

1 Eighties? sci-fi ; mining colony is protected by teams of one pilot (crap model ships) and one "controller". Cue a story of a guy "settling in" to his new piloting job (I think). Hella-big evil spaceship shows up , controller guy is impaled over his radar screen , dies while guiding pilot guy through the battle so the colonists can escape.

2 Seventies? sci-fi comedy ; spaceshuttle ends up in Middle Ages , some android involved , ends when astronauts start flying around the Earth in reverse to travel forward in time ; one astronaut sad because he has to leave his medieval GF behind , astronauts discover medieval goat can travel through time without problems , go back for GF. *no I won&#39;t tell you what I&#39;ve been snorting*

That movie sounds familiar to me, but I just can&#39;t think of the title. Wasn&#39;t it one of those Amityville haunted house movies??? Amityville 3D perhaps. It has an ending with a well in the celler. Nah, it&#39;s probably not this one. <_<

Anyway, I have a question of my own. It&#39;s not about a movie, but about a tv-show. I saw this a couple of years ago here on tv. It was about a guy. I think he was a doctor or something. After coming home he finds his wife murdered and the police is coming after him for the murder of his wife. On his run from the police he tries to find the real murderer, which turn out to be his twin brother of whom he never knew anyhting about. They were separated at birth and he was adopted by a good family and had the best education, but his brother wasn&#39;t that lucky and had spent time in several institutions and jail and now he wants to get revenge by framing his good brother. This way he will also endure what the bad brothers had to endure. On his quest for the truth the bad brother kills a lot of other people and everyone seems to think the good brother has done it, because no one knows anything about the fact that they are identical twins.

Does anyone know what show I&#39;m talking about,because I would really like to see it again one time and I want to know how it ended (if it ended, anyway). Perhaps they stopped the series without a decent ending, just like John Doe.

Well, it&#39;seems to me that it is not that busy on this board lately (oops, I have to say community now :P ). I think that there are a lot less people here than there were about a half year ago. Why??? Probably, because over the last few months the questions just stayed the same. There were these "How can I....???" threads that kept appearing by those noobs who are to lame to do a search before they asked a question. And next to these there were these annoying "Who would win....???" threads. There seemed to be nothing new added to the movieworld section. And that&#39;s why I think a lot of people are staying away these days.
