check connection to power supply. and try a different outlet. Also your PSU may start to be failing. Those lights are great indicators for showing current flow.

What's the point of having a PC's and never turn it on?

If you on it 24/7, it's mean you fully utilise your PC's and investment :)

Turning a PC's on and off is actually very bad.

Never said or implied that.

2.If you on it 24/7, it's mean you fully utilise your PC's and investment.
If it's doing some actual work 24/7.

3.Turning a PC's on and off is actually very bad.
No generally heat build up from never turning a computer off is worse. Only servers in server type enviroments are designed to run 24/7.

I totally disagree. Computers are designed to be always on.

Really?
I've never seen convincing proof one way or the other.
We leave our shop PCs on all the time but I turn my home computers on/off and can't say I've seen any reliability issues directly attributable to either strategy.

What's your thinking behind the "always on" approach?

me... well, i just leave it on just cause. no real reason. that and the fact i'm ALWAYS dl'ing something.

Where he said:

No generally heat build up from never turning a computer off is worseComputers heat up within the first few minutes and only heat up further if a load is put on them. They cool back down very quickly once the load is reduced. Even if the load is continuous, it reaches a maximum. It doesn't keep rising.

Power management systems have been built into computers. I see that as one of many aspects of a design for maximizing efficient continuous use.
