I was a PU on Torrentit went it went down. It was pretty big. That's the problem. Once a site gets too popular it ends up being a target.

I believe, for security reasons, a site should have only so many members. And if the userbase gets too big, do a spin off "sister" site. On another provider with seperate admins. Safer and more secure. But seriously, in the end, if they have you in their sights - they will get you no matter what.

I think this is another sign that things are going in bad direction! They will take down large trackers and then they will prune private trackers one by one. The much we shout we want invite to F***orS***orT*** the more we attract attention to them! So the answer is very simple - we need large public trackers like OINK, why not one for movies, one for music, etc. And these trackers must have servers out of reach - there are many countries in this world that don´t give a s**t about big industry. I really am dissapointed about this and i feel for the guy that got arrested.. i say that like this cause we don't know for sure yet, if it was the owner.. although i would assume it would be. but i'm of the opinion that as great as it was, they just got way too big.. this has been mentioned previously and i'm not disrespecting the site or the owner. but, it is true.. having a user base that huge puts them at the top of the most wanted list, they have some good company though... well, i wouldn't be so confident with that..... with the way the RIAA has been attacking individuals for this sh*t... it wouldn't surprise one f*****g bit if we get a letter somewheres down the road stating we owe them(although i don't think its likely).... i mean com'on think about it... people should be worried about that 180,000 + users it may take a while, but still they have the database and they have the time... if they wanted to they could and thats the scary part.

It's happen again! In my country happen the same with one tracker that was user called btuga, the cops closed and take the donor into custody, I don't now whats happen with him but after a 3 months one new tracker is open again with new server, new name and new staff, exactly the same thing but not with the older releases and the older database.

So people let's have hope then in the future they open again!

most users do not care about the sites or the ppl running them all they care about is what is in it for them
any fourm site allowing the trading or giving away of torrent sites invites are just saying up yours to the work all torrent sites do
