I've a static IP the problem is that it change from time to time (when i renew the contract: every 3 - 6 month generally) but till today i was able to get it in the same x.x.x.0-x.x.x.255 net

if at least a certain net would be allowed I would try to take part, otherwise I think it's better to give to other some possibilities, as the risk of changing the ip with the next contract renew is high :(

It's dynamic but I have only 1 IP allocation. Whenever the modem is restarted, etc, the IP stays the same. It all depends on the allocation of IP's provided by ISP.

I would like to request an invite. Yes, I do have a static IP. Recently Be made static IPs free and because I was having problems with my connection they made my IP static and that solved the problems. I said to myself "Waddya know, customer service actually works. The foreign people are actually trained to do their job."
Getting back to the point...It would be an honor to be a part of FTN, and I would really relish the opportunity. Seeding is no problem at all, I'm on FSC and they have a minimum 10day seeding rule, which I'm actually in favour of. I believe I have contributed a fair amount to the community here, thats not saying that I deserve an invite but it certainly helps in showing that I'm a good person, I hope :-). I was burned in a bad way for giving away invites here but thats beside the point too...

Well I guess I've made my case.

There is no real advantage of having a Dynamic IP. It would be such a pain to keep disconnecting and reconnecting to get a different IP allocated and you dont always get allocated a different IP as far as I know. anyways I just go to Uni and login to a bunch of PCs, each one has a slightly different IP, and download there. Painful process but atleast I dont have to pay, and I'm in uni almost everyday so its not too inconvenient.

I have been interested in joining FTN for a while now, and this thread seems to be my best chance in entering the community. i believe that i will make a good member at FTN because:
I am a active member in the trackers i am part of, in terms of sharing and forums i participate as much as i can.
I have been part of great communities and FTN is really a big step up that i would really appreciate
I don't really have a good connection from home, but still seed at least 1 week on torrents i dl (i leave my comp in 24/7), so with the no ratio rule my slow connection can really benefit from FTN.
I do not ask for trackers just for the sake of collection, if i was i would be asking for sct invites too but i know i would not be able to keep a good ratio there
I believe strongly in giving back to the community, and if i were to receive the FTN invite i can assure you that if invites do come my way i wish to do something like this back for people who are still in need.

There is no black list, just that some candidates, at that moment in time, met the requirements better than some others. There had to be a way of reducing the amount of eligible members to a manageable amount.

When you understand FTN giveaways better, you will understand it more. There was a need to ensure no disabled accounts on behalf of those giving and those receiving.

And judging by Brandon's requirements, I would suggest there was no other way, sorry if my judgement call offended, but it had to be strict for a reason.

I have been requesting an invite for a while now. I'll be honest, my first topic in FST I offered anything for an invite, mind you, without knowledge as to why it was so difficult to obtain. As I learned the majority's feelings and reasoning behind trades, I requested for free or tried to "win" an invite in a giveaway, and still no luck. I recently opened my last and final asking for a invite topic, with a slightly higher positive to negative ratio on responses, I still look forward to recieving one. Most of the people who said nice things(in time) in his giveaway thread already had FTN.
Really, I think only a handful of FTN invites have actually been given out recently. That's for the best though, FTN has gotten where it is by being selective with their invites. Just because somebody has a bunch of posts at FST doesn't mean they're entitled to or even deserve a FTN invite.

I like Brandon's generosity, but is having a static IP and a good post count enough of a requirement to get an invite. Though, FTN still has a very small userbase so I guess all these giveaways haven't opened up the floodgates too much.

If you go to the irc they will ban you from there to :( bcuz they dont want to enable the accounts for selfish reasons like money <_<

Another thing i've been thinking about.. I used to get a lot of criticism posting here, but this thread is proof there are some pretty damn good people here. My christmas gift to you, is everyone who's posted in here thus far (meaning BEFORE this post) will get the opportunity to join my family at FTN if not already a part of it. Truly an excellent episode. See here is the thing...there are no episodes of southpark that are not funny. However other shows like family guy and simpsons ...they have a few episdoes where everyone is like "wtf happened to the funny"
