I don't know what a "referral" is, however if it's anything like an invite then surely people who have them will give them to people they know from the tracker (or indeed elsewhere). Why would they "offer" them.

Obviously they will, to people they know and trust. Via private messages one assumes. Not just openly - "Anyone want a referral".

So I go in, I see a bloke I know and I private message him and ask if he wants a referral. Seems like a good idea to me. Clears out the wastrels and collectors.

It's the same as obtaining an invite, except the system is a little different; you'll have to find a person who trusts you enough to give one to you, instead of asking the owner of the site for him to forgive you. :) Hope this helps.

I'm sure it sounds suspicious but if I was lying don't you think I would have just registered under that name and asked as if I was him? I assure you I am just trying to see if he still has an account. He is the person that first told me about bcg and he gave me the heads up when registration was open before. I don't need the full email address (or password as u suggest). Just the incomplete addy format like Stoi has been doing all along. He is unsure if he generated his keyword and I am hoping he did so he can reffer me.

there's a detailed explanation in the BCG forums. probably under global announcements or check the the updated faq. it's all you need.

It does sound odd, but its the truth. I likes my privacy/anonymity so I often use disposable email accounts. I see now why I shouldn't do that.

Its a shame my account is gone, i had something like a 30:1 ratio. Won the lottery 3 or 4 times in a row somehow and mostly just seeded. A shot in the dark here, but can anyone pm me with an invite? I have lots of games that I can up and I have a great connection seeding 24x7...

Yes, Gmail was once allowed on the site. As long as he's an older member then his gmail address will still work(as mine does). I know the rule was changed a while ago where new members would have to use an isp or paid email address. Not sure if that rule is still used though.

Type the keyword (don't copy & paste it), DON'T click enter or press enter, wait a second and the login boxes (username and password) should appear at the bottom of the page.

I have been with blackcats for a while now, and I have even logged in since the fake page thing happened, but now when I try to login on the fake page, it does not work; I enter my secret word, then the little boxes pop up and I enter my user/pass, then the page just refreshes or something, all the boxes I filled out (secret word, user/pass) get cleared out, it does not log me into the site. At that point in time, the user/pass boxes will not appear when I put in my secret word unless I re-enter blackcats' url. Then, after I do that a few times it gives me an error 403 (I think) unauthorized IP.

At first I thought that I was just putting in the wrong password because I don't really have my password very well memorized, firefox used to remember it for me so all I had to do was click login when I came to the site, but now that I have to go through the fake page it doesn't put it in automatically for me anymore lol; but then I remembered I could just look up the password I had firefox remembering for me in firefox's options, so I waited a couple days so that I wouldn't get the 403 error anymore and tried that one several times to no avail, and I know it is the right password.

I am so lost as to what I should do... I don't know if I am just going retarded or what... I login to the site very frequently, almost daily, and I keep a good ratio. Heck, I am still seeding several torrents right now.

Please help me, I absolutely love blackcats and it would be a very sad day if I was no longer a part of it.

type that In the search box.

Don't do anything else. Just type In the 3 letter code.

Look at the bottom of the page

The username and Password Input boxes will appear at the bottom of the page.

Well i went to ask why i got error in torrents. I opened 5 torrents in my torrent client instead of 2. Then the irc op said also that i opened 3 downloads in my pc and 2 in my seedbox. i told him thats correct. He said that i shouldnt have done this. I told him i didnt notice that i am limited to only 2. WOW WHAT I DID I killed some1 :)

Then he begins also to accuse me of cheating. I have like 10 giga upload i didnt use bcg alot. Then he banned me out the bcg main channel cause i told the others about the issue that i have.
From that day i told myself just to be a member to some sites with nice community.

in your status bar, it says how many you are allowed to download, for normal user class it is 2, for PU it is 4 for everyone else it is 5.

so it is there in black and white on every page what you are allowed to download.

not true in my case. I've been a member for over a year, and I have moved since. In my case I had to drop YahooDSL and got to use cable where I moved to. Unfortunately when my service with Yahoo ended so did my email account with them. I have no access to it whatsoever. I entered my new email address which I assumed was current since I did the password key thingy. Yet I get no response in my email for the password reset. Since I got cut off from yahoo I've tried a few free email services and the wife ended up liking Gmail so it's POSSIBLE but unlikely that I had entered one of those. I don't really know too many people on the site anymore... After the big James thing with the donations or w/e I kinda stopped using the IRC... I helped a lot of people with their PSPs.

There is no indication as to when any further referrals will be given to members. If your friend wants to know more then its all in the BCG Forums.

i just googled out the details of this site as i am desperately in need of some info.

i been a regular member at bcg for more than 12 months i believe and i been pretty regular there.
did pretty mch everything to remain in the ckt there, be it the maintaining the positive ratio, or staying in touch by logging in and even the generation of the keyword to be allowed to log in to the site as decided by the admins.

All in all i wasnt lagging in any of the req condition and i did logged in to the site not too long ago, but now i simply cant.

thanksYes your account is still there. Are you still using the same email address as when you registered? Your best option is probably to pm stoi your email address and ask if he could check that's the one still on the BCG database.
