http://www.just4today.net/

Username and password change daily.

The service is stable and even with max 2 connections, I can max out my 10mbit

I wonder how long it will last though, I think there trying to advertise something, dunno, I'll wait and see if I'm too lazy to pay my Usenet bill next month or not.

It has been up and running stable for the last three months.

And as an advertisement I think it is great. Their 1 year contract cost 25 Euros for 40days Retention.

Thanks for the heads up Solariz, never heard of this site before. A traceroute shows they are using Xentech.

So, I gave this a try tonight and never managed to get more than 165K on my 6meg dsl connection. Good idea for people that want to save a few bucks but I think I will still keep my $11 Astraweb account.

Wow. This is beautiful! I didn't think a decent, FREE (and legit) Usenet even EXISTED! Getting between 600-850 KB/sec! Thanks a bunch, Solariz, for posting this! <3 :)

Although, maybe I shouldn't bump this. The less people that know about this, the better. Shhhhhh!

I remember the RIAA once set up a torrent indexing website where they tracked and busted a lot of people when they post a torrent.
This seems too good to be true, make me wonder if this is one of those RIAA's traps ?

I can't really read the language, but it would seem like they are using it as an ad for their paid service.

Wouldn't that be illegal? Entrapment?

Sure, but they would get away with it....they haven't thrown out to many of those cases, watch yourself if you upload through there.

I haven't tried newsgroups in years. Thought i would have another go with this. But am having trouble, can't seem to get it working! I went to http://www.just4today.net/ and got info thats needed. Got sabnzbd installed added an open port and added the server info. Then i went to tvnzb.com, so i download and saved the .nzb file and then went to sabnzbd and added it. It shows up but doesn't seem to download anything.

These are the error's:

"2009-11-25 13:44:55,046 ERROR [newswrapper] Failed to connect: (10061, 'Connection refused') [email protected]:port i use"

"2009-11-25 13:46:55,062 WARNING [downloader] Thread [email protected]:port i use: timed out"

Am i missing something?

Cheers!

I've figured it out, it was to do with the port

This is a great site, but to often than not lately I've been experiencing username/password problems resulting in the 502 error.

Despite getting the daily un/pw combo, I still get the error as if they have not updated their server login or something similar. (today is a prime example)

As for retention, my experience is it's about 9 days rahter than 10 for what I tend to d/l
