GhostRetired19, the concept of this thread seems to be unclear to you ;) what.cd has been open for signups, yes, but that was for about one day after they opened and IIRC only for the first 1500 users. The tracker has managed to get 18k users in the meantime and most of those needed invites to join. So the question is why you want a site that had open signups some time in the past at level 1 because if you'd do this consequently, half of all trackers would need to be in level 1.

Waffles at 4, What at 3 is okay. STMusic has closed and should be moved to level 2 and later maybe to 3 as they have no regular invites (promotion & donation only).

AceTorrents is not a popular tracker but no regular invites have been given out for months and the last open signups were a couple of months ago as well. Based on rarity the tracker should move up.

BiT-HDTV has closed all invites for the moment and should be moved up as well for as long as this is the case.

HD-bits.ro has open signups and should go to level 1.

The thread used to be solely about invites, but has migrated to more of an overall rating on how difficult it is to get an account or invite.

Theres no immediate demand for them... Only time will tell what needs to be moved around to where.

Then again, i just got this thread and i honestly don't have the motivation to go read through each tracker and re-correct its level according to my/your beliefs.

Right now, i'll leave most of it where it is now.

Any future changes i'll look at and consider deeply. As for know, i'm putting up links to the latest reviews on the latest trackers. Soon a poll will come to rate these trackers... Since statistics are changing each day for these trackers as they are way over-hyped it would be rather stupid to keep changing the level of these trackers on a daily basis.

I think STmusic should be level 2, cause now, they don't have open signups, but it's still easy to get in!

and i agree with Messi_19, PT should be level 7, since they closed invites, that means that's more difficult to get in, i think!

and TL shouldn't be only level 4, at least level 5, it's much harder to get in, in TL than RevTT (even when TL had invites open and now they don't so...)!

it's just my opinion :)


edit: oh... and BTnext should be level 2 too, they're work only with invites, and u can only enter if u live in Portugal!

Well, good point. though I beleve SoundDamage shall be considered later on(since it's not that old). it's a good tracker. a growing community and friendly staff :)

User amount is growing (almoast 3k atm) and the user limit is set at 5k. Then ofc there are invites.

For your information it's a music tracker(dah). And as wich of I like, there's alot of house music and alot of knowlage about it :)

Well, invites are rare in comparison to many other trackers though. You'll get one invite after 50GB, 250GB, 500GB, 1TB, 10TB and 20TB and exchanging from bonus hours means seeding for 31 days to get one invite (that or 30GB upload credit). I don't believe the "4+/5" is necessarily correct as there are some trackers without an active invite system but a rating somewhere in this area is reasonable.

I'd agree with this. For someone who is interested in german files, TST is definitely 10/10. The best pre times on german stuff and very good on english (like 2 min after they've been dled off sct ;) ) and they also have some very nice packs with old stuff. Speed is very high too because of the fact that a lot of users bought seed boxes because they couldnt keep a good ratio otherwise. Invites are kinda rare too, so I'd move them one level up.

and btw, move ScT and BMTV up too :D

Alrite, TBH this is my POV.

Who gives a fuck if a tracker closed invites or make users upload 5 TB to get an invite. That doesn't change much.

What matters is how often these trackers are looked for and traded, thus relating to its rarity.

Take TL for example, most users have it. Now they have closed invites, so what woopie doo, a lot of people still have TL, and don't need it/want it.

Now, i know my POV can be contradicted in many forms, but then again i have been torrenting for more than a year now, and i think i'd know a bit more than most of the common users year. (No offence).

If a tracker was to close invites forever, (take umm, Bitme) for example. And there was an excess demand for bitme, but no supply. Ie a lot of "I want BITME Offering..." but not many people willing to supply bitme, then i'd jack up the rarity.

Now, just because a tracker has decreased its amount of invites doesn't mean it automatically becomes "rarer" since no-one was looking for those invites in the first place.

What im trying to say is, you guys need to take it easy with all the "OH MY, XXX tracker has closed invites!!! JACK UP THE RATING!!!" because there aint no real point to doing that. It takes time for something to become rare/unrare, days, weeks, even months. Take it easy guys, not much will change overnight, so i don't really think theres a need to constantly ask a tracker to be jacked up a level or so.

Also when posting a review, please type some words. I don't want to a see a review with 10 screenshots, and have no writing what so ever. Try include good information for general members, put yourself in their shoes and read the review, re-read it, edit out all the silly mistakes, and then post it up and ill have a look at it.

If you get my drift, good. If you don't then GTFO :P

Since there's two sites that go by ScL, I think it's confusing to put SLinks in as ScL, because it throws off people talking about SLife... which is also ScL. So maybe jsut change the name on the list to SLinks, and when SLife gets reviewed it can get put as that?
