Because it is shit. F4 has to be the most boring thing I've played in forevers. It's so bad. The first like 2 hrs or something after leaving the vault were some of the worst gameplay and game sequences I can recall. The game says I have a whole nine hours which isn't a lot but shirley is enough to know if I should play a tenth. I mean I've piddled with the idea of maybe I haven't played enough to give it an emphatic thumbs down but fk that, there's nothing I like about that game. It's just aimless roaming and finding nonsense to decide if you should leave it behind or take it. It's insanely boring. I mean I kept thinking the good stuff was right around the corner but it never came. The main character is boring, the lack of backstory is boring, the lack of current story is boring, the combat is boring... Even the difficult combats; you just want them to fking end. The enemies are either stupid looking super mosquitos or impossibly difficult crab ones that take like 30 respawns and every fking bullet you have. Games that withhold ammo are infuriating and are always shit games and always will be shit. The interactions with characters are boring, the locations you visit are boring. It's just plain boring.

And then theres the incredible lack of depth. I mean even when I would approach a situation that felt like there would be some story that would be engaging, it always just dives right into helping someone fight or shoot something and then move on. Or dont help them and again move on. And with every situation seemingly involving combat, you would think it would at least be fun and have some great design choices above all else.

I mean, remember how immersive Fallout 3 was? There was such a fantastic narrative and a cohesion to the surrounding "world" and it all worked so flawlessly. Fallout 4 is a steaming pile in comparison. :snooty:

Your sentiments are echoed by just about everyone that wanted it to be a new Fallout 3 and you're right, you talk to people and then just shoot whatever the spoke of. I still love it though :idunno: I like the music and locations and it's an open world Bethesda game, that's enough to keep me entertained. I like how buggy and glitchy it gets. I was talking to a quest giver and mid conversation a deathclaw ran up to him while the camera was pointed at him in "conversation view" and killed him instantly, I'm positive that wasn't supposed to happen. The game killed its own content... The DLCs apologetically add more story, choices etc but you'd have to suffer ranking up to level 30+ to survive them :ermm:

I had the worst pain of my life today, on the flight back this morning. I get my news from the BBC and other mostly European news organizations. Contrary to what the people in the heartland may think, you actually do get a more balanced view from them than from most US sources. Certainly more balanced than from Fox or MSNBC.

OK so I went the cheap route. Got a 3.5mm spliter for $4. I disconnected the two satellite speakers that went through the sub. So now I have two Audioengine P4 speakers with volume controlled by the amp, and a sub with its own volume control. A bit ghetto but better than spending $500 to sort it with a new amp and sub.

Actually you barely scratched the surface of citizenship law. In order to confer citizenship to their child, the parent must also have lived a certain number of years in the US following their 14th birthday. So let's say that you were born in the US and your parents took you to China when you were 12. In that case you are a US citizen, but your children may not be. There is another process where they can derive their US citizenship from their grandparents, but let's say your parents were born outside the US and never got US citizenship and you were born in the US and then they took you out of the country before you were 14, then your children are pretty much SOL even though you have US citizenship. :)

And to get back to my point about qualifying as president, there is debate whether even US military bases are considered US soil or not. So let's say your parents are with the military stationed in Korea or Japan and you are born in an on-base hospital. You may still not qualify to run for President because of that article in the constitution I quoted before, even though you are a US citizen.

This is day 1 of a three day weekend ftw. Been migrating t'office from win7 to 10, it's been a complete shitshow. Got the new Call of Duty because I'm an idiot. Campaign took just a few hours, it was ok. Multiplayer is good this year, no more wall running or Kevin spaceys. Overall I'd give it 4 underage sexual harassments out of 5.

Is it really worth buying? I just cant cant trust fickle Steam reviews anymore. One of my fav games all time is the original CoD game set in WW2 and the United Offensive expansion pack. I played it almost daily for I don't know how many years. I really hoped they would include/remake some of the original MP maps as an ode to the original but haven't read anything about that yet so I'm assuming they didn't.

The best CoD or Medal of Honor ( I can't remember well enough to distinguish between them) was the one where you got pinned down in some remote shell of a farmhouse and had to try to prevent it from being overrun by somebody or other.

The current one does hold a candle to that but at least it forgoes the wank sci-fi angle they seem to like to go with.
