A LOT of the very bad things that have occurred in the past 75 years can be traced back to the betrayal of the Arab world by the US and UK in the forced creation of Israel. Prior to that, the Arabs had shown little/no hostility towards the west.

Had the US created the Jewish state in Nevada, I would have *zero* opposition to them.

However, lands that were not owned by US/UK were given away. That created HUGE hostilities in that region and long-standing bitterness towards the west.

Skipping over 70 years of turmoil and bloodshed, now Israel has decided to quite literally genocide Palestinians to expand into valuable lands. Trump even decided to help. Men, women, children have been brutally slaughtered (i can direct you to easily 100+ horrific videos if you'd like evidence). If you'd like to know who is treating prisoners better take a look at the condition of those released from each side. Also feel free to look at the vast areas of Gaza turned to rubble. This is not one side vs the other, this is an absolute slaughter.

Israel has such a stranglehold over US politicians that literally *any* criticism of Israel is deemed 'antisemitism'. Your love for Alan Moore is how I first heard of him. Definitely a master storyteller. We sure need all of the people who bring creativity and beauty (even dark thoughts have their own) into this often bland, painful world. I remember being disappointed during covid when so many people had free time and a bit of spare money to spend due to rent moratorium and stimulus checks. I had hoped that people would have been constructive with their time. Create art. Write. Plant a garden. Literally anything constructive to do instead of working. People just drank. Fucked. Spread germs and incredibly stupid ideas. My dreams of a human race free of 40+ hours taken from their lives for miniscule wages was dashed. I had the joy of having covid myself and taking care of a dying man with covid simultaneously. Had we sent him to the hospital they would gave just let him die alone in some unattended room. I got him through with canned oxygen, keeping him upright with a heating pad on his chest. Oxygen hits every time he got wheezing. Fun times

Masking became (and still is) politically charged. Wear a mask and red-hatted assholes will sneer at you, telling you how 'pointless' masking is-- until you tell them that you are already sick and wearing the mask to *prevent* them from getting sick. Then suddenly it becomes a decent idea.

I had a MUCH higher opinion of people before working with the general public, then also experiencing mass stupidity during a pandemic.
