So far this is my highest, 328 kb per second, i wish i could consistently get these speeds :( :P

You won't get anywhere near 328kB/sec on 1.1Mb/sec ADSL :lol:

I don't believe you, to get 8.4MB/sec, you'd need at least a 67Mb/sec connection :lol:

The key is giving a little more than 13KB up! :D


I usually run about three torrents at once giving about 30KB to each.

i was told a while ago that lowering ur upld speed will increase ur dl speed.

i actually got up to 350 something that nite, but this is the only scrnshot i have. what connection do u have broken?

You just don&#39;t want to use 100% of you upload ablitity. It can create a bottle neck situation. This maybe a real problem if your connection is cable.

I like to, and a general rule to follow is use a total of no more than 80% of you total upload ability.

For example I have 786kbps up (approx. 100KB). I try not to use more than 80KB up at once.

My connection is adsl 4mb download 786 upload.

my house is in front of the node for the entire neighborhood
I usually don&#39;t go over 3 to 4 mbits on newsgroups but sometimes I get crazy speeds

I wish I had your speeds, Im on a router with 3 other computers in my house with ADSL, and the most Ive gotten is about 75 KB/sec, but it never stays that high, I always get about a constand 20 KB/sec.

edit ... this is the fastest ive ever seen my puter go only seen it jus that 1 time although with good sourses i can peak at 500kb but they norm hover around a 100kb

See I never told anyone this but the reason they are getting there full speeds on BT is because they are leeching basically they are putting their setting on dial/up isdn which maxs out their download and only gives out about 5kb/s but if everyone does that it will just destroy the community that&#39;s why I don&#39;t recommend even though I do it I still seed for along time because I always post torrents and I don&#39;t like when peeps leech mine even though u can&#39;t prevent it.

use bittorent man i tried using those others never had much luck with them and gre1 if u check my screen shot u can see i use bit 3.3 i have no control over my uploads i let them take care of them self
