On every online game I have played over the internet I usually seem to get this 3 second pause every once in a while, while I am playing. Does anyone know how to fix this because it is really annoying. Btw I am using Comcast cable internet.

Scan your pc for ad-ware/spywareThe game just stops (pauses) for like 3 seconds then continues.

look at my guide and follow the tuneup\tweaks section.

Then do a spyware and virus scan.

switch to rr or earthlink.....hehe

but i think what you are talking about is lag...might be the server problem or its your comcast. I play CS and i know a lot of ppl that thinks comcast sucks and given them nothing but troubles

I usually try to find the servers with the lowest ping, that way it gives me a better chance of not lagging. Also, if you don't know, turn off any background programs you may be running. Those are just a few of the things I try to look for.

oh, it might also be your set-up is too weak to play the games that you want to play or that you have too much stuff running....or the spyware is hogging up your resources

I am connected wirelessly to the internet. Could that be the problem?

If it affects streamin video and other internet activities then it is most likely your cabel. if you live in a high popilated area with many other cable connections at peak time your rate of transfer will vary below what you would normaly expect from your package , also if your ISP is well known for being a bit on the crap side change ISP (i cant comment on your ISP as im fae bonnie scotland :p . If you are in good range of your Wireless AP and theres not a huge amout of traffic that shouldnt be your problem. Also as suggested by a few people check for spyware etc and check out the tweaks guide its damn good! :)
