i have just updated to the version in that link because mine was an older version and there was no problems with it . while it is installing it will do a virus scan and this can take 20-30 minutes.

the only problem that i have found is that the windows media player 9 has been replaced by windows media player classic.

@Baccyman.
Thanks for that, I am downloading it now,
must be a lot of stuff in it,
(it should be easy to get back wmp from media player classic, just don't Associate any files to classic ).

Too much stuff that you'll never ever need. A waste of space and a much higher risk of getting problems.

I agree
for example: why would you need all versions of Divx :unsure:

Well, it would make my ePeen appear bigger?
if I ever install that pack, I must remember to make a sig about it too.

i managed to sort out the media classic problem by downloading media player 10 then i uninstalled it and it rolled back to media player 9 and things are working ok again. and the reason i did not want to keep media player 10 on my comp was that it locks up on some links to video clips.
