I'm having a problem with my PC, it crashes on start-up.
I turn it on, and get to the windows XP log on screen, I type in my password, and it all starts to load up, then it restarts.
I haven't got a clue what's wrong with it, it hasn't worked in a couple of days.
Does anyone know what to do, I got it to load up in safe mode, but I don't know how to fix it. But it does load in safe mode if that helps.
Can anyone help me?
Cheers,
Hugo.

Load into safe mode, run as many spyware/adaware scanning programs as possible, then run your antivirus. I am going to assume it is probably a service, Virtualbody, or Rossco can help you out with that. You are going to have to disasble a service that restarts your computer when there are errors, but I dont know how to do that. :(

now i dont wanna be the cause of anyone hittin the panic button, but....
if the spy/adware/virus scan, etc dont get ya runnin....
(and i rellay hope it does, it would be so much easier and cheaper)
better start checkin hardware
cuz i have had windows boot to safe mode smoothly
even when my RAM & GFX card was failing
do all the software tricks you can think of first though

yes dpo what peat moss said.
then instead of a restart you will get a blue screen with an error message. write down all info you can find on that screen then post it here. :)
