I like to collect rips so if there is a Promo CDS and a VLS I'd get them both. Some members prefer VLS' over Promo CDS' (I like to keep 'em happy :happy:).

Also some VLS have additional tracks that the Promo CD doesn't and vice versa.

I've got about 50GB of music so far some personal lossless rips and vbr/cbr rips.
