• Nintendo Denies Move To iOS/Android Platforms

The decision to bring Pokemon to iOS and Android this summer seems to be final but Nintendo would like to remind you that although the made the Pokemon franchise great, the games are actually built by the Pokemon Company (of which Nintendo owns a minority) and that those guys can do whatever they want.
Nintendo spokesman Yasuhiro Minagawa said that Nintendo would never sell Nintendo-licensed games on non-Nintendo hardware but, like Metal Gear Solid, Sonic, and the like, developers were free to branch out into whatever platform they wished. This, in turn, means that characters like Mario and Zelda will never, ever, ever appear on iOS, no matter how much you beg.

And so has the original super mario bros... Think it will only happen however when Nintendo think (in a nutshell) "oh crap we need more money and other formats are actually better than our system" and start licensing :S

That's a shame to hear, I'd love to play some of the older games if they revamped them for Android a little
