I go to the Ford dealership today to get my truck inspected. I'm told there are a couple vehicles ahead of me and that it'll be about 45 minutes till they've finished. No worries, I'll just go kick tires.
I'm not strolling around the lot for 2 minutes when I see the hounds closing in from two sides. The first one to me asks if I've been helped yet. I told him I didn't need help and was just killing time until my truck was finished. "No problem" he says, then immediately begins setting up his pitch anyhow, asking what I drive, how long I've had it, how many miles I've got on it, etc. Then begins asking how I like the new trucks, starts telling me about some of the specials they have going. I repeat that I'm not in the market for another vehicle. He smiles, "OK, OK... let you ask you a quick question tho' - How's your credit?" I could have punched him in the fucking face.
I kindly tell him piss off.
Afterwards, I go to Men's Warehouse to try on some suits as I need a couple new ones. I tell him right off the bat what I'm looking for and I'm not interested in any suits that are over $400. EVERY fucking suit I try on, the salesman says it "Looks great!". I don't need your confidence boosters, I'd like a professional opinion about the fit of the suit. I didn't find a single one that I found suitable. Finally, I find one that's perfect. I try on the pants - perfect. "Great, I'll take it", I say.
He marks off the required alterations and we proceed to the cashiers desk where he tells me that the price is $920!
I didn't say a word, I just shook my head and walked out. Salesmen suck.
