Valve shouldn't have done that imo.
I hope a price war brakes out and we, consumers can benefit...
I suspect that if Steam did the kicking it was more related to pricing than other services also having it available for download. Its more likely that EA wanted too big a cut of sales and when Steam wouldn't accepted it they had no choice but to remove it. Many games that you can download from Steam are also available from other DLC providers so this doesn't make sense. Without truely explaining what "business terms", its impossible to tell but I would trust Steam before I would trust EA's word. This is just a lot of finger pointing and I would guess Steam will have a comment soon and point their finger next.
afaik, steam kicked them due to breach of contract. EA sales the game thru another DD.
Steam has way too much market power right now and this is the type of stuff you will see until other DD services catch up. I am so glad EA is not using their services right now, but are using other DD options as well as their own.
