So get a new PSU and then hook everything up and go into the bios and all by pressing del and dont worry about the error i am getting on boot-up?

Just start by getting the 400w power supply replaced.
When i do that can someone walk me through setting bios up or something to that effect?
Go into bios, select defaults.
Then select IDE auto detect.
If you've got usb keyboard or mouse find and enable USB legacy support.
Then save & exit.
That should be enough to allow you to install windoze.

if the processor is suspected, remove it. the system should post without a chip (if its bad it should still post anyways)

look, the BIOS is dealt with thru a chip on the mobo: no processor needed. ive tried it with no processor and with a cracked one: i know it works! geez... <_<

I just tired the 400 watt PSU on a old comp that had a pent II in it and it worked but i want to know how come it wont work on this other computer?
