Setting Up Wireless Cable broadband???

Well i have found what i think i need and its the Linksys WRT54G Router and the Linksys WPC546 PCMCIA for the laptop. Is this all need to do this i have the modem to connect to router.

Wall > Cable Modem > Router > PC (Wired)
Laptop (Wireless from the router hooked up to pc)

Is that correct

EDIT2:I use ADSL so cable stuff very different to me but i understand now as u need a cable modem to use the router unlike ADSL Wireless routers that plug atraight into wall cable ones need a cable modem first i will order this stuff and see how to Cable NTL ISP wireless goes :)

To make it interesting I also had another desktop on a wireless connection.

It went...

Wall > Cable Modem > Router > PC (Wired)

2 Laptops and another desktop (thru wireless access point)

Since I run wire for a living though, I ran ethernet jacks thru the house for optimal connection.

I can plug my laptop into a jack (the other desktop is always plugged up now) or walk around with the laptop on wireless.

I usually use my laptop on wireless in the kitchen or in my backyard.

I'm waiting for a shake out regarding MIMO technology and the new 802.11 standard which supposedly will increase my range without an extender.

Let me know how the first set-up works out.
