forgot to add... ffxii's gameplay plays a lot like ffxi. not good for me. didn't care to much for ffxi's gameplay. gui was crap too. imo. just to add, i stand by what i said earlier. ffx-2's gameplay is by far the best in recent ff's. very fast gameplay is BEST.

I've never played the FF11 or any MMORPGs before, but I have played Riadata Stories and it had a combat system where you walk around and you see the enemys walking around, then they chase after you when they're close and make you get into the battle scene.
I really didn't like this. Random fights can have their downfalls (annyoing unless you have Enc-None GF ability hehe) but seeing the enemy and being forced to walk so you don't run into him on accident is just as annoying to me.

he's going to have to fight those bunny/frogs no matter what.. I hope FFXII isn't going to subject me to this
have u even played ffxii yet? i have and the gameplay isnt' that good. it is a little faster becuz u dont' have to go thru any menus, but when trying to use items and/or magic u have to stop (game is in real-time) and u WILL get hit. config needs to be reconfiged. dumb, imo. hope this gets fixed.Quote:

Have a good stradegy is not enough.. you need to have some speed too!!
Like FFIX. the game was in real time.. it was really hard at first but after a while you got used to it... you can even hit the monster twice before it hits you and vice versa... that's why speed is everything along with stradegy! :)
ffix was turn-based. all ff's have been turn-based. ffxii is the first real-time.Quote:
