questions

1. when i click order it says my connection is 100mbit default and my uplink is 1gbit. does this mean i can only upload with 1gbit and not download?

2. what is PLESK 8?

3. do they only charge tax for the first month+setup fee or is it monthly tax?

It's 100 and 1 gig
Don't get anything else I would get linux Debian myself.

you have 100mbit and 1gig line on the box so yes is the anwser

One minor detail came up when I helped someone with a server with 4GB of RAM from hosting-ie, which is if you install their 32-bit Debian, the installed kernel doesn't have the proper support for that much memory (only about 900MB were recognized). There were two solutions, to update the kernel or switch to a 64-bit OS. To be safe, I'd suggest you go with Debian 64-bit.

One 100Mbit
and other 1Gbit
with 2 IP's , one on each Nic.
2. If you do not use domain, don't' take Plesk.
Plesk is like cPanel . a management console for web hosting and comes with plenty of stuff like dns, mail, databases, web servers so far and all that uses you ram and cpu, so if you do not need it say no.

so if i want, i can use to gbit nic to download aswell?

Yes you can download and upload on the 1 gig nic.

Just curious ... is this the same as KVM? I presume we have to pay extra for this?
