The solution to this is to disable netbios over tcp/ip.

right click network connections go to properties and tcp/ip section click properties and advanced tab.

Go to WINS and select the option under it to disable netbios over tcp/ip and ntoskrnl won&#39;t broadcast, sysgate won&#39;t bug you everytime you log on.

If your system becomes unresponsive when you try to disable then open up taskmgr.exe and kill or end explorer.exe and then go to run in taskmgr and start the shell again (explorer.exe). Log off and log back on.
