If you already have a broadband connection, making several requests at once isn't going to change a lot of things. After all, human reactions are only so fast, they have a limit. And keep in mind that most pages are bigger than 40 -50 kB.
Anyway, I'm currently using Chrome but I used to be an Opera fan, whilst also using Firefox on Linux. This open-source world gives us a lot of options.
