i doubt they'd sell a young adult some methylated spirits...
lol oook...it says scrap or pull the strip off...then use something to get all of the rest of the pad off...what should I use to get the residue off that is left on there??

My first question was never answered!
What does the ratio mean exactly? And if I have the RAM running at 333Mhz and the CPU running at 333Mhz then would I just have it 1:1?
yesQuote:

My grandparents just sent me $500 for xmas :D I think I like what I bought tho..I prob could have gotten a little faster CPU...Maybe the deluxe..but I dont really need it...I will just buy some cathodes and rounded cables.. :o dvd burner or something maybe..as right now all i have is a 8X CD-RW
Or graphics card..I still have $150 out of that $500 because I have spent $350 on components. I can still spend that $150 and wont have spent ANY of my money..in my sig..So I will still have about $400 :D
$500??????????? i only got 100 from my grandparent :( i guess they dont love me enough :( :( :(Quote:

You should see if you can still get your hands on the 9500 pro.
they have one here for $178
http://images10.newegg.com/productim...102-258-06.JPG
or you should get the 9600 XT if you like half life 2 you can get it for free:
here
http://www.allstarshop.com/shop/asse...017086XT_1.jpg
and you should get a new monitor too...
Lol well..the monitor I have now suits me ok...Its a 17in CRT at 85Hz refresh rate and it looks pretty good. Is the 9500Pro better then the 9600XT? I dont like Half Life lol
The only game I REALLY want to play on my new machine is Battlefield 1942 with desert combat mod :D that 9500 will look niceeee I bet
I mean the 9600XT runs at 500Mhz core and the 9500PRO runs at 275Mhz core...The 9600 just looks better but I know its something with the 8 pipelines..lol cant the 9500Pro be overclocked alot also?
I am sure as you play more games you will find more that you fancy.
The great thing about the ATI DX9 performace is the fact that you can enable FSAA and AF very high and increase the appearance of the textures dramatically. If you plan on grabbing a 9500 pro, I advise you jump on it as soon as possible, because they dont even make them anymore and they give better framerates than the 9600 XT at high resolutions.
I highly recommed NFSU, it changed the whole way I thought of gaming. Or try call of duty. You can download the demos for free, or if you get the download manager flashget, I will give you direct links to download the full version free.
The 9500 pro is a steal and I advise you jump on it ASAP! ;)
Yes, when you overclock the 9500 pro it performs almost exactly as well as the 9700 pro. Did you not see the Aquamark3 benchmarks I showed that proved this?Quote:

...anyways, I have to go to physical therapy now...from that car accident...
lol i gotta go wensday cuz i had surgery on my knee...
Ok well really I dont think I will get this card because i hardlyyyy ever play games...and i would kind of like to keep that $150 in my pocket..or maybe buy a new optical drive as i use that more then i game..ugh i just duno lol..that will be the most expensive thing ive bought for my system and the least used..lol
I hope your motherboard comes with rounded cables, because you will spend 20+ dollars on 2 IDE/ATA cables and a floppy cable, plus shipping.
Yet another reason why I got the EpoX 8RDA3+, rounded IDE cables.

Usually its either a trade off of cheap prices but shipping online, or like 8 dollars a cable in a store.
100 Post...haha yeah thats usually what it boils down too...except on the higher priced stuff cuz its all free shipping. I ordered 2nd day delivery cuz it was only $10 more for everything and i want that stuff! lol
What's the deal dawg? What's the point of owning such a powerful machine if you cannot use it to emulate virtual reality?
I can understand that your old celeron could barely pump it up...in conjunction with that crappy excuse for a graphics card PCI MX 440...but come on dawg...
I personally am convinced once you experience the might of your new beast you will be unsatisfied with its graphics performance with that damn PCI card and you will demand power. Having a powerful system is in vain if it serves no purpose, like a rebel without a cause.
;) :)
It's all about AGP8X, dude (edit). 2.0 GB/sec dedicated to the graphics bus. Get the damn data off of the PCI bus! Save it for the freaking modem!
I agree, you have a racehorse with lead hooves :DQuote:

So will the 9500Pro last me a pretty long time..even tho its a pretty old card?
I mean..I dont game at ALL hardly...sept when i get BF 1942 I think I will play it a TON...but thats IT. I use money on other things than just games. And the 9500Pro is clocked alot slower then the 9600Pro..what makes the 9500Pro better?
its not THAT old....
look its not the matter of how old it is....its how GOOD it is...
a friend of mine has had the geforce4 ti4600 for about a year+ and he aint changing his vid card yet....the card is so powerful it can still handle stuff....
RXG and DWK both of yall have racehorses with lead hoves! lol
what u mean? sry dont understand that phrase :(
DWK doesnt exactly have a race horse, more of a throughbred.
No but serious, a 9500Pro or Non pro will do you fine. (alot of non pros can be soft modded to be a pro, and the modding is mostly firmware modding from what I understand.)
Anyway, im getting a 9500Pro soon like I said, and it will do you and me fine for awhile to come. I know you can grab a 9600 regular for about 135 on Newegg atleast, sureably less than that if you look around. Just be froogle (heh) and be sure not to get a 9600SE or something if you choose to get a new card.
oh more words i dont understand  :(
Answers pleaseeeQuote:

;) Look big dawg, I don't want to harp on this that much longer.
Trust me, once you see quality framerates in games you will want to play more of them. You just think games suck because you are playing games on an unacceptable medium.
So take my advice or don't, okay, but I don't see why you are not using a real graphics card in your new system. The mx440 is garbage. It will, in my opinion, pollute your system with bad mojo.
You should either get a 9600 XT or a 9500 pro, otherwise suffer the consequences.

Now ATI has released the finalized version of the 9500 PRO. Thanks to the reduced memory bandwidth, the new board is much cheaper to produce, as it only has half the number of pipelines to the memory modules as the 9700. Apart from a revised layout for the memory modules and the voltage converter, the differences don't appear to be very major. ATI has also now decided to dispense with the heatsink at the rear of the card behind the converter.
I just read that off of tomshardware. How do I know that the card on newegg.com isnt one of the new 9500Pros? One with only 4 pipelines?
why dont you read through this thread bid dawg, it will answer all your questions
just make sure to read all 5 or 6 pages. ;)
that's just tom's hardware spam, IMO.Quote:

WoW...I was looking at the benchmarks on tomshardware...and the 9500Pro looked good. It was beating the TI 4200 by a bit and I liked what I saw, but THEN, they turned the resolution up real high lots of FSAA or w/e and Antitroscopic (or w/e the hell its called) and the 9500Pro KICKED THE TI4600 ASS! ...wow that was very impressive. I think I will go ahead and buy this card...but I dont want to have to wait a whole freaking nother 2 days for it...
Which do you think will provide better gameplay and filtering and stuff?
9500Pro, or 9600Pro?
9500 pro :)Quote:

Hell..the 9500Pro beats the 9600XT also
Read the product link's info.Quote:

8 pipeline....... Although the card doesnt look like the one they are selling at new egg.
*shrugs.
Look big dawg, we all want you to be happy. Of course we want you to spend as little money as possible.
So, if you can't afford the 9500 pro, or want to save your money, the 9600 XT is a great alternative. Regardless, you should get at least a 9600 pro. From what I have been reading, all three are great overclockers.
