Indeed. And its still going strong. Seedboxes and uploading can kiss my brown ass because I am maxed out all the friging time - sounds like a tagline to me, 'Get Newsgroups and you will be maxed out all the friging time'©. If Giganews or anybody wants to license that tagline from me, I am open to offers.....:D

Newsgroups are definitely much more convenient than the average torrent. no ratio requirements, always max out your connection. However, torrents tend to have much faster pre times.

I wouldn't know about pre times because by the time I downloaded it on a torrent it would have been upped hours ago on usenet sometimes days:naughty:

BTW I do use torrents and they are awesome but for specialist areas like UKNova. Having said that for example the last episode of Born Survivor showed on usenet. Thats EP03, EP04 went out tonight will try to see where it pops up first.:01:

Just checked newsgroups released this episode around midnight last night UKN had it added to it's tracker 5:30am this morning. On this occasion usenet won on the pre time. It appears to have originally been capped from IIRC. I was asleep anyway so it is all meaningless.

I had time warner about 1 year ago in So.Cal and their retention was like 2 days, Half the games hame missing rar's. I guess they fixed it up!

I am converted aswell, feels good downloading at full speed without thinking about leaving the rar files for seeding. ;):D
