I'm not really sure what's going on for V-Day this year with me and the significant other. Usually my Valentine Days are the exact opposite of lovey-dovey... no roses, no cards, not even an "I Love You". :(

Nope, me and Mr Squeamous don't do Valentine's Day anymore. We agreed last year it was overpriced and overblown and we do nice things for each other all year round anyway. I know, it's nice feeling loved up at the same time as everyone else is, but really I spend little time around other people anyway so it doesn't do much for me.

Anyway....it's definitely a mutual decision, and if memory serves it was me that suggested it. He never would for fear of getting into trouble again for something he doesn't understand he did wrong :P. He does nice thoughtful things for me all the time....like remembering to put a beer in the fridge for me for when I get home from work, or keeping the fridge stocked with chocolate, or making me breakfast in bed at the weekend. Who needs Valentine's Day?

It's a ridiculous excuse to have to buy stuff for each other. It never lives up to its expectations and it's too soon after Christmas.
It makes me physically sick just thinking about it :angry:
