I disagree. I reckon it has taken over the show, and there are about a dozen pop culture references per show. I see it as filler for the proper jokes, it must be hard to fill 20 minutes after all.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force = Intelligent kid that smokes way too much weed.
See? By this highly scientific manner you can see that there is not a genius amongst them. Though they all seem to be pretty clever.
