get a 1gb stick.
Problem Solved.
A rip of the game might get released for it. Forgot to tell u that on AIM. @ Spicker- he doesnt have the money right now for a gig stick....
yeah i dont have a job yet but i know there is multiple ways rip it but i dont know the good ones, i tired a couple ppl said worked on the iso but it didnt work
Ok, here's what you do...
1. Open the ISO with IsoBuster/WinRAR. Extract everything into a folder.
2. Look in PSP_GAME/SYSDIR for a folder called UPDATE, delete this folder. It'll make the ISO around 15MB smaller.
3. Look in PSP_GAME/USRDIR for pad0.pad or pad1.pad. These are dummy files used to stretch out the game's content to the edge of the UMD, so load times are faster. The pad files are really big most of the time. Removing the pad files does nothing to the actual game, and since your playing off your memory stick, they are unneeded.
You can't delete them, you have to replace them. Delete pad0.pad and pad1.pad from the folder. Open a blank notepad file, save it as pad0.pad and another as pad1.pad. Now you should have the dummy files, only they are 0kb instead of 500-700mb.
4. Download UMDGen http://www.umdgen.com. Open it, drag everything into the UMDGen window, and click on File > Export ISO. This'll make a fresh new PSP compatable ISO file... now without the Update and dummy files.
------
I know it seems like a lot of work, but it takes 10 minutes really. I downloaded Need for Speed Most Wanted yesterday... removed the update and dummy files. The ISO went from 850MB to 180MB! :D
NFS Most Wanted is a pretty damn good game for being under 200MB. :D
God I can't wait to get my 2 gig stick....
hahahahha rip i did that right before u posted accept i tried a different method after a while of fooling around but i was trying to get the same game to work, we should play some time PM me if you want to play

I need help!!!!!!! Alright I'm getting a Version 2.0 or 1.5 PSP next week. I have already bought Need for Speed and I downloaded it as well. How do I put it onto the PSP? Can someone either e-mail me or instant message me at AxSr89 and explain how to do this? Thank you.
PS. I already got the .iso part down.
This is about the same way to rebuild games for ps2 that are too bid to fit on 1 dvd-r.Quote:

nope but games with pad files are usually the best to do it with
I thought all games had pad files. Does anyone know how big GTA: LCS is after removing the pad files?
Almost all PSP games have .pad files, not all, but most.
@GameGuy
It doesn't really matter... it's not possible to play GTA on a 1.5 PSP yet. :(
2.0 firmware doesnt have a UMD loader yet?Quote:

There is no way to play Socom or GTA on your 1.50 PSP YET!Quote:

1. It's impossible to play ISO's on 2.0.
2. It's impossible to play GTA/Socom on 1.5.
EDIT: As of right now...
So it's either homebrew, or newer PSP games, take your pick...
2 of the best games for the PSP right now... :frusty:Quote:

There is a lot of progress though... people discovered a way to run The Hustle and Pro Evolution Soccer on 1.5 PSP's. Both games require 2.0. We are one step closer to playing GTA on 1.5 PSP's. :)
it will get there eventually
im waiting for it also
I just upgraded to 2.6 firmware and I don't know y. :)
Now why'd you do that? =/
2.6 = no homebrew. :(
Man Iv'e have 1.5 for the longest time and REALLY? I wasn't to happy with it, the main site was pspupdates.com they have the latest homebrew etc. Nothing was al that good. I mean yea roms are great and all I liked all Mario games and Zelda games but I kinda get bored and feal I need to get with the time. Iv'e been waiting for one of the homebrews I can't remember the name but it's supposed to be a OS, Only thing that kept me from waiting so long and I gave on it. So I just updated and I like the new browser going to "buy" yea I usually download my games but I think it's time to give up some money to the GTA people. :) After that ima get Guild wars for the PC. But since im in the game subject everone has to download or BUY F.E.A.R almost the greatest game of all time.
Just got a psp for my gf for xmas present
Can anyone suggest a good platform game? (crash bandicoot type)
I wnna get one (gigapack) but I don't know if I will use it.
I would say Halo is the best game of all time... :P Anyways I did the same as you because of that same reason but GTA runs on v2.0 firmware and you can still run homebrew on 2.0 PSPs so kinda sucks for you... I was going to exchange my PSP because I have a 2 year warrenty on it and it has a bunch of scraches on it but since it has dead pixels in the screen neways, they will let me return it and it should be back to 2.0 firmware (I hope). :rolleyes:Quote:

Well I payed $250 for the PSP value pack, and $110 for a 1GB Sandisk memory stick. So $320 for the PSP with the 1GB memory stick seems like a good deal.
But then again, it comes with a Sony card, and from what I've read, the Sandisk cards are much faster.
The PSP kicks ass if you know what to do with it...
PSp master?
I don't know if I should get one, the main games I'll play would be Fifa06, Liberty City, Socom and 1 or 2 more. I just don't want to regret it after a few weeks.
you may regret it in like a few months theres a limit on how portable and how much time you have while in the car and what not, but i mean when your at home its all about 360 or pc
Whoops, forgot to change that. It went along with my older signature.Quote:

Yea I kind of regret mine but I still do a little traveling in the car where I could use it. Only get it if u know for sure you are gonna use it because it costs a lot for games, the memory stick, battery brick (if needed), ect.Quote:

But yeah, the memory stick, that cost a pretty penny...
I go travelling a few times a year. then I should save for a 360 then?
i would guess so, where you travel distant lands across the galaxy? or like a few blocks over to mcdonalds
omfg, I need help trying to play fifa 06. I cant find the iso file. Im a noob at this. god. its frustrating.
can someone run me through how to play downloaded games?
