Netgear RP614v3
I plug everything expecting it to work and it doesnt. Shouldnt it be plug and play. I dont want to use the cd. I tired it but it doesnt work.
It works as a lan and connects to the pther computers but the internet doesnt work. When i plug my pc directly in to the modem then it works.
This is fucking bullshit. I hate routers and i hate all fucking extra security and shit. Im so fucking pissed right now!

theres no fucking way ill get this thing to work.
I tried everything and the POS still doesnt work. The LAN works but i dont know why i dont have internet access.

I did everything the instructions said. Wouldnt there be something wrong if the lan worked and the WAN things didnt.
i go to the setup wizard it says i have a vaild connection and then it doesnt work.
i just wish i had a dumbass person here so they could use the cd and install it. :P

You say you don't have pppoe or something like that but you don't say what you actually have. You could call your ISP to find out what type of service or even to ask them for help.Quote:

I have a Belkin and our configurations may be night & day from each other
that's why they include a setup guide w/ the hardware

Previous router worked flawessly and set up without any problems. I dont have to log in to use the internet. I dont know what more to say.
I did the fucking setup many times and the shit still doesnt work. LAN works great but no internet access on any of the pc's.
Tried another same exact router and still the same problems.
Directly it works great. Anything else you wanna know?
well its so wierd, i actually read the instructions for my router but it was screwed up, so basically i just plugged everything in
then pushed the reset button in the bak once i got fed up
my router settings were at 192.168.123.254
arent all dsl connections ppoe

It seems that the modem has built-in pppoe. Not sure what it really means but somehow you have to configure your router to act like a hub or switch.

A: If you are configuring your router, you want to set the VPI/VCI setting for 0/35. Some of the older DSL accounts before June 2000, may need a VPI/VCI setting of 8/35 depending on your equipment, especially for the Alcatel modems.
Q: Why doesn't my Router work with the 5100B (#9379)
A: Routers with the default IP of 192.168.0.1 (example Netgear) conflict with the 5100B default of 192.168.0.1. The administrative access IP for the router has to be changed, since the 5100B's cannot be changed.
go to lan ip setup in the admin menu 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1 and then use that to access the admin menu and see if it can connect.
