Ok...lets try this again...
i have a motorola cable modem,its road runner cable internet
i also have a wireless router that connects to the internet through that box
now the pc with the modem cannot be connected to the internet at the same time the pc with the router is...
does anyone have any help...:frusty:
It should hook up, you could of kept this in one thread... no need to make two. Anyways.. do you have the router hooked up properly? What kind is it?

you hook the router to the modem
then the PCs to the router
do both PCs have wireless cards?
I'm guessing no...
what you need plain and simple is another wireless card
then you hook the router to the modem,
then you tell the NICs to connect to the router
lol, both comps dont need a wireless cards. I just setup my old comp at a friends last night, he got a linksys router with one wireless card. I dont why ppl keep saying you need 2 wireless cards :ermm: :frusty:Quote:

The only thing I can think of here is to tell you that you shouldn't have any PC connected to the modem. The router gets connected to the modem and then all PCs connect to the router only.
