Prey (Demo) Released!

Prey demo has been release. i've beaten the demo portion and have only tried the multiplayer. the sp demo is fucking GREAT! lol, GREAT! it uses the Doom3 engine and the game played flawlessly on my pc. the mp part i've just touched barely. sp maps are kinda closed like doom3 was, but this one somehow gives u a little more space. also, u can see lots better too. the mp is kinda cramped. i'll play it some more, but it just doesn't seem to good right now. the weapons in sp are just fun. there is no reload in this game. this one's pretty much a shoot'em up type. i kinda dig that, but i still find myself wanting to reload. bad habits die hard... the demo is 450mb in length and sp will take about 60 mins to beat; give or take. this demo gives u the first 5 levels of the game and 2 TDM/DM mp levels for ur online pleasure. just plain fun if u like FPS's!!!

This demo is amazing. If you have a fast PC it will look and play very well. I have a 7900GT, A64 overclocked to 2.9 GHz and it played flawless

i thought this was a very intresting and enjoyable game.
looks the part and plays well.
Also it has G15 Keyboard support by default **very nice**

I'm not really sure what was so good about this. The graphics were nice, but other than that I found it kind of boring, and very similar to Quake 4.

I only got the one gun (which was almost identical to the machine gun in Q4) in the demo before I switched it off. Did you get anything else interesting?

I didn't try the multiplayer, but I'm not very impressed so far.

edit: I realise I'm in the minority here - all over the web I see people saying how good it is, but I can't see the appeal.

Prey demo has been released for the xbox360 for u console kids.

Being a HL fan doesn't mean I don't like other games. I just didn't much like this one.

Is anyone else having trouble finding multiplayer servers? I don't see ANY at all...

Same here...

Hmm, well they're still not showing up in game but you can find servers if you use XFire

K, no probs.

If the server issue is fixed, I'll give the multiplayer a blast tonight. I opened a server on my own yesterday to see what it was like, and deathmatch looks like it could be fun.

I played a bit of multiplayer and to be honest i hated the gravity-thingy mode. It's too disorienting

Played multiplayer a bit last night and it was actually a lot of fun. Nice to be able to play with some different guns, as I didn't really like the default on single player.

Or maybe I just like it because I topped the server on my first game :happy:

But what i found weird was that the game in only 1.5 GIGS!!

I just grabbed and started on the demo... and well... whatever.

What's the big deal... I just can't get into a game where you play an indian who was sucked into a UFO like those old cheesy movies... Story is really random in my opinion. Looks too much like Quake 4, your running around in dark corridors that all look the same more than half the time.

Meh... uninstalled it 10 minutes later. To each his own I suppose...

Quake 4 was too much like Doom 3. And Prey is too much like Quake 4.

I tried the MP, it was okay I guess... I dunno I guess I like real life weapons over all the weird shit you get in that game... but that's just me.

Great game, but nothing new - same old shooting...

Roflcopters, when you go into that spirit mode and the drum music starts to play, I can't help but think, "kids, taking hallucinating drugs can be LOTS of fun.":D
