Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??
everytime i check on my Vectoral it has turned off uTorrent. wtf?
i turned off the screensaver so now when i look at the Remote Desktop window i see the seedbox desktop with uTorrent apparently running in the tray, but when i click on the icon in the tray it disappears and if i open uTorrent again it is evident that it was shut down. what is going on?

Re: Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??
I KNOW WTF!!! the same been happening to me, i have to manually turn it back on every time i exit remote connection cause it automatically shuts utorrent down so webui shuts down.
so basically I have left remote connection running.... but im gonna have to turn off my computer. Vectoral better fix this problem by the time I wake up.

Re: Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??
my problem is it does this even if i leave Remote Desktop running. i'm testing right now to see if i can prevent it by not minimizing the Remote Desktop window. fucking annoying

Re: Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??
this has been happening to me too....starting about 24 hours ago.
infact, right now, I can't login to my box. is something up with vectoral and seedboxes?

Re: Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??

Re: Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??
I run TorrentFlux on linux - no issues.

Re: Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??
it seems to work if i leave the Remote Desktop window open (don't minimize it)
edit: hm now it seems to work regardless. i dunno whats going on

Re: Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??
Seems like a setting issue. I share a Vectoral box with Windows 2003 Web and we aren't having any issues. We simply connect, and log on with our userid's, uTorrent then starts automatically and I disconnect the session.
Vectoral did put out a note the other day saying they had trouble with a UPS. Perhaps your server is connected to this UPS and they have had to shut it down several times to fix???

Re: Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??
Check the uptime of the box.

Re: Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??
hehe. it seems like a setting issue. Wat happens is if utorrent is running a bunch of things it consumes all the memory and crashes. Also happens if your getting a lot of diskoverloaded.
If you look in the directory utorrent is installed you might find some crash reports with a shit inside.
First place to look at is the Advanced section -> Disk Cache Settings. Hope it helps

Re: Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??
but its weird, it just went away on its own, even tho i was still downloading/uploading at 10-11 MB/s sometimes.
problem is now it came back after their UPS repair : (
edit: ok, this time i was watching while it shut down uTorrent and in Task Manager there was still available memory. wtf?

Re: Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??
Vectoral is becoming a pain in the ass...
My server went down on Dec 19th at 2pm and now 2 and half days later still down....they're support is shite....not answering tickets
I'm moving....I placed another order tonight elsewhere
-
Re: Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??
It's very true, their support is poor.

Re: Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??
TF is def. more of a resource hog than rtorrent. If you got a low end machine and plan to have 10+ torrents running TF will not be very good.

Re: Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??
when i was on hosting ie debiean it shut down everyday

Re: Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??
sucks. i had faith in uTorrent. this is retarded

Right now I have the lowest-end seedbox and I manage about 3.5M up or down no matter how many torrents I have running...not that I run hundreds of them. I have 20 at the most up at one time.

Re: Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??
I've never really had any major issues with Vectoral. The speeds are blazing and most of my tickets are answered fairly quickly. The only problem I had was the confusion about the server reset as it happens at the 1st of every month not when your next payment is due.
If your having problems with minimizing uTorrent to your system tray then don't do it. I've never liked that feature.
-
Re: Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??
what's your seedbox spec?

this is not the issue. uTorrent just shuts down altogether after downloading at a high rate for a while
the problem has, yet again, mysteriously disappeared. who knows

Re: Vectoral box shuts down uTorrent??
hehe, that happened to me, you must lower the buffer size
