IP blacklist programs for Mac OSX?
I use Peerguardian 2 for my Windows machine but would like to have something for my OSX laptop, leopard.
Peeguardian 2 doesn't work with leopard.
SafePeer plugin for AZ only works if I can load blocklist files into it, and the BLISS downloads are down :(
any advice?:frusty:

azureus is a java app. it's mainly the same in windows and os x.
no need to emulate anything.
i suggest you don't use peerguardian at all. it's pretty useless anyway. you don't really need it on a mac.
Re: IP blacklist programs for Mac OSX?
yes, it's true, actually you don't really need to use PeerGuardian on Mac, I also think that's why they don't port it to Mac OS, because it's pretty useless. You know Mac ppl never use such as antivirus, antispyware, even the firewall for just a personal use

On a side note... What other torrenting related apps do you recommend for the MAC. I just got this new MBP and have basically done all of my stuff on the PC using utorrent, winrar, vlc, etc.
I did however get firefox and vlc installed for the mac.

will run fine on a mbp. does use less resources than a wine utorrent.
Re: IP blacklist programs for Mac OSX?
First APOLOGIES to DontPay for spamming on his post...
But I'm kind of new to mac and need some help.
For instance on the PC, i have utorrent, winrar, vlc, convertxtodvd, anydvd, dvd decrypter and dvdrebuilder pro
So if I want to download bit torrent use azureus? Less headaches I take it?
What do you use to unpack the archives? I saw mac has something built in.
Software to convert avi/divx or mpeg to DVD
Something to decrypt DVD so I can rip them I saw MactheRipper, is there anything else?
And something else to rebuild the dvd and to burn them?
Can you recommend any for these?

Mac OS is different than Windows :) It wouldn't require much resources, if you use Azureus on the newest OS Leopard it only consumes just a little system resources, especially if you're using MBP :P
