only 64Bits OS will recognise RAM over 3 Gb.

It's possible to utilize 4GB, Bo with a 32-bit OS. I'm getting ready to head to a Texas Hold'em tournament. I don't have time to explain, but here is a link to a site explaining how to enable PAE and DEP mode:

Point of fact 32bit recognizes 3.5GB :P Some will argue that 64 has no problems at all but I have found to still have some driver issues with older hardware, and an all around inexplicable buggyness from time to timeQuote:
