Hey! My first question is what exactly is the RAM to CPU ratio thing? I will have a 2500XP Barton at 333Mhz FSB and PC3200 Ram. What setting should I run this on the have the memory run at like 333Mhz for good syncrozanation. Wouldnt the ram running at 333Mhz be the best? What exactly is this ratio. Also when I overclock my cpu to 200X11 what should the CPU:RAM be? 1:1 since they will both have the same FSB?

ALSO which should I get?
*Corsair XMS 2-3-2-6 PC3200 2X256MB, or
*Mushkin 2-2-2-6 PC3200 Level II 2X256MB?

Run your chip and RAM synchronized.

Yeah I know to run it syncronized, but with my CPU running at 333Mhz and my ram running at 400Mhz how will I make the ram run at 333Mhz? Once I can boost it up to 200X11 then I can just leave it at 400Mhz

No, the rating doesn't mean that its running at 400.

Check the settings in your BIOS. In your case, set it to run at the same speed as your FSB.

uhh I dont get that lolol...but newayz should I get the Muskin with the tighter timings? Or just get the Corsair and Tighten it to 2-2-2-6?

i see you're still going blue on the blue cathode. but oh well more blue light for your silver case....but how many fans do u have? is it just that one?

I own 1x512mb & 2x256mb sticks of this memory. I have the 512mb stick on my AMD 2500+ Gigabyte 7vax & 2x256mb dual channeled on my AMD 2500+ Gigabyte 7n400pro. My Nforce400 is o/c'd to XP3200+ (200x11 v1.675) & Memory runs as spec'd @ 2-2-2-5 by default. This memory costs a little more, but the benefits in performance outway the cost. Never go Cheap on Memory & Mobo, I did once & learned a painful lesson.

Lol well I WAS going to go red...but that awesome fan deal...which im getting 5! not 1. I couldnt find any good red fans that were that good, and also On another forum people were saying that blue showd up better..and I just want blue for now..I can always change later for like 50 bucks or so haha. Its my PARENTS credit card and no not all of it will be gone...but I duno if i want a new graphics card since i dont game or anything mainly the only game i play is battlefield 1942.

I was going to buy a blue cathode later but im getting it all NOW! HELL YEAH IM GOING CRAZY WITH THE PARENTS CREDIT CARD!!! HAHA

GIVE ME A GOOD BLUE CATHODE THAT WILL SHINE A GOOD DARK BLUE....a blue that the fans look like kinda.

What about some round IDE cables...hell yah B) are they all pretty much created equal?
Forget the Round IDE cables...im not paying more for shipping then i am for the cable..ill get that in town somwhere.

You should have a hella sweet system when you are finished, dawg.

Make sure that your cathodes will run at the same FSB as your chip....

Well, I figured that after you OCed your chip/RAM and vid card you'd probably want to up the performance of your fans and lights, too.
