Did You just start using emule? Give it some time leave it on for a day and check tomorrow. Also are You properly configured (check the FAQ).
Behind a reuter or anything else?
How many sources are You downloading from?
Anything else running in the background? ICQ, Kazaa, Shareza?
BOT
it's toooooo slow to download from it.
i have windows xp pro
3gh pros
512 ram
nortos sys work 2003
What version are you running?
if you're new make sure you have swapped the download folder to one that has got some dowloaded files in. i.e. "my shared folder" if you're a kazaa/k-lite userQuote:

then you have something to share.
and yes, as B O T says the longer you leave emule running the better it gets
one of the most important settings is "upload bandwidth" - the upload graph in Statistics should be for most of the time a nice flat line
1) Make sure that you have a High ID
2) Set your upload speed at least at 10 KB
3) Patience. Just leave the program running for long periods.
Mate as long as you're sharing ok..just leave it.After queuing an hr or two it will start to download pretty good,as everyone on emule has to give decent bandwith too if they want to download. :)
eMule works on a credit/reward system...
When you first install eMule you are automatically allocated a "Low ID", which means you can only connect to other people with a "Low ID"..Once youve had it running for a bit and uploaded a bit of shit, then your "Low ID" will change to a "High ID" which means you can connect to both "Low ID" & "High ID" users..
Check out the eMule FAQ page to find other reasons why you may have a "Low ID"
WTF!!!
:o
Ok you do not get given lowID or highID based on credit. This depends on how well your connection can connect to other clients. If you have incorrectly configured firewalls, routers or lans or blocked ports etc, this will either stop you connecting at all or only give you a lowID. HighIDs are people who can connect with easily. There are occassions when users can only get lowIDs, ie behind uni computer etc.
ok i didnt explain it as best as i could of..takes too long to type crap that someone else couldve researched
but your version of it isnt any better...lol
dunno when the last time you used eMule but they got a reward/credit or wotever you wanna call it now
Have a look under extended settings in emules preferences and theres asection entitled "Use Credit System(reward uploaders) which is what i originally posted and because i didnt bother going into detail as you on the rest of the details but I did say there were other reasons why he could have a low ID and refered him/her to the Emule FAQ
:) there was no mention of him having a lowID problem.
lowid users cannot connect to other lowid users
highid users can connect to all.
being on highid just means you can access both types so it will help find more sources to download from.
Last time i used emule was today. But i use emuleplus which leaves out the optional choice to disable crediting uploaders (not sure why its included though, doesnt seem fair, but i think you might have interpreted this wrong...it could actually be your not rewarded for your uploads, and not mean your not rewarding the people who upload to you...hope that makes sense).
but as i said before, the credit system is not affected by what id you have. the same factors for credit value for what you upload is just the same as everyone else.
thx i will try as you said i'm a new user thx agin
Is there a reason to disable crediting ul besides selfishness?Quote:

The question is actually serious, not just sarcastic. If someone can state an advantage, please do. If bandwidth is a consideration for dial-up users, aren't the speed controls sufficient? If ur worried about security, the credits don't give anything away, do they? Just seems leechy to me.
i knew this would confuse people lol.
If you disable credit rewarding this means:
the user download doesnt get credit
not the people he downloads from.
If it was the other way i would agree it isnt fair
but if the user themselves dont want credit than thats
fair.

but I also share.
what makes you think he doesnt?
EDIT: Nevermind :P
in the latest standard edition of emule its posted in the faqs that a low id user cant connect to a high id...they can only connect to other low id users, but a person with a high id can connect to both...now i know that that doesnt always happen but its a general rule of thumb...Quote:

And hes downloading porn where everybodys speed is great...
give him a normal file to download and i bet he sings a different song...lol
Quote taken from:Quote:
- Two clients on low ID cannot connect to each other, as it is not possible to route messages over two different servers. This will lead to less sources for the downloads
