are you hashing any files?
how many total sources?
are any files in the process of completion.?
Win ME dont work to well with anything <_<
@thisiswhoweare
1.No
2.A lot
3.No
@Java Boy
Windows XP, AMD ATHLON XP 1800+ 256mb ram
yay you finally upgraded!!
Youve probably heard that you can turn off all the stats and graphs, and all the other options in emule, overnet etc so the actual program uses less resources.
Normally the stats youve mentioned(for ya comp) would handle the resource and thread load, but more memory wouldnt go astray(WinXP uses a minimum of 128MB's to run)
my specs:
1.2Ghz AMD Athlon
256MB RAM
Connection : 600Kb/128Kb
Found sources: 2000-4000.
Try lowering your found sources number to 2000 (value can be found in stats). If you currently hold a lot of downloads in the list either paused/stopped, clear it or store it in a txt file till till you've downloaded some off. 100+ on mine slows it down.
Any partitions?
Disable any sorting updates.
Lower queue size.
Increase stats redisplay time or disable.
Try different mods.
Lower priority of hashing just in case.
Try these and let me know how you get on.
sh with overnet sometimes the amount of bandwith that is being used is so high and it seems to slow the pc, a guick restart of the program should take care of that
Well thats the last thing you want to be doing .Esp' with programs that work by running long periods, queue systems, etc..Quote:

Mate if you're having probs & cant fix or get around them, you shouldnt need convincing
:)
Nope, nothing work, thanks to everybody, i tried again now i will unninstall again emule, my hard disk its defragmented like hell after all the night of download, everithing goes slow like the hell again, damn. :o
if you have one or two files i don't see the big deal and have been doing restart all the time, i mean if its going super slow what do you have to lose????
sh take a look at your temp folder in emule and overnet and make sure you don't have files/folders in there from past downloads, if so delete them, other than that if might be your ram or pc
No ,i don't have any files , i did it a clean install of eMule plus and Overnet lite.Btw, why with Overnet when i start to download a file the speed is very high for some minutes and after that slow down ?
did you try only with e+? it can be quite cpu/memory intensive compared to other mods.
you probably are using some sources, not sure tho, mine always risesQuote:

Maybe in the next realease they could replace the sharing & queue system with a restart function instead.
boss if you pc is running at 100% because of a program, sharing and queued or not your gonna leave that program running??? also on overnet there are so many sources that the queued rarly ever makes a difference, because you are always downloading from somebody, no matter what
Ok mateQuote:

like i said in my previous post :)
well if your pc usage is at 100% because of emule, overnet, etc. and you are gonna leave it that way, then i guess they should change it from sharing & queue system with a restart function instead.
The thing is mate your not having the last word, you're just proving your stupidity by the post :)
:)
well if you wanna talk stupidity, you are the one resorting to name calling not me boss.
the second you tell me why would anybody keep running a program tha is making their cpu usage 100%, then i will stop.
and last i'm not intersted in last word like a 2 year old nor am i calling any body names, and frankly i'm very disapointed in you for doing so. Now instead of calling me names, why don't you explain to me and every body else why you would keep emule, etc. running if its making your pc slow???
This is my last post here mate ,learn to read too,i havnt called you any names :)
:)
i guess that ^^^ is just my imagination then bossQuote:

well i use it and have no problems with it.
But IMO its one demanding mods out there.
Try the official one and if you have problems still then
you know there is something up with either
every emule, or your computer.
Emule oficiall client its still slow down my pc, i remember on the eMule Plus site it was some time ago a amd optimized version , where is gone ?
its not gone. Its just implemented into the one file. It will automaticallly detect your processor and adjust accordinly. Optimisation is disabled for dual processors as there are some bugs still need solving.
How much does it slow the computer down? Out of ciouriosity how many found sources do you have? and files in list?
I still use & have the amd version if you want it shareholder :)
:)
Isnt it a 1h version though? Theres no zlib aware protocol in that , so even if it works fine you'll be turned down by quite a lot of servers. Although there are still some who use it.
Havent we have this before lol & i displayed an image
No mate i install the amd release then copy the latest plus binary files over,So i'm using amd 1I :)
lol i definitely cant remember if i did.
anyway what your doing is just updating the exe file. Doing so wont keep out the AMD optimsations. Its not like the other files are whats needed for it, its all in the exe. Before 1i, there are two files, one which is for intel processors and non-optimisable processors. And the other for amd's (well most of them). If you download an non optimised version, and then update to 1i through binary update, then the previous version is overrided and replaced by the the new exe which optimises based on processor.
hope that wasnt jibberish

I'll show you again mate. The optimisations not part of the program its loaded after emule is like the credit file.Probably enhancement with the gui or something. :)
ok there seems to be some confusion.
SH thought there was an amd optimised version of e+.
I said there is and was. There is only one e+ file to download now, which actives optimisation depending on processor (AMD optimisation turns on if there is an AMD processor).
You said you have the AMD version if SH wanted it.
But as i already said 1i, 1j, and even in 1k (beta) has AMD optimisations. You dont need to install 1h then update the binary to 1i. Just install to 1i and it should be optimised. It even says in your log.
Ok then mate what ever you wanna to say :huh
It say optimised because i have the amd op files there. It i dont it dont. :P
Oh yeah about the confusion,
Mate i wasnt even talking to you :)
do a seperate installation of 1i without updating binary.Quote:

just get installer for 1i or 1j and install it.
On run, you will see "AMD Optimisations Active" if you have a AMD processor
which can be optimised.
I dont paticatly give fuck lol,to be honest woth you mate. :)
:)
:P
