Ok, did you set up a parition via windows? are you installing mandrake to the paritioned section? Is the paritioned section reformated? If you answer yes to all these questions, then it is ok to reboot ;)

I never seen a Mandrake install look like that. Must be that crappy Community 10 beta.
You will probably run into problems..........or not. :)

As for the browser, there should be more than one installed. Mozilla is ususally the default. You should see an icon for it.
Firefox will work as well, just download it, extract the files to a directory and click the binary executable file which should be "firefox."
since I have linux installed on my pc if I want to install programs do they have to be linux version or does win32 work?
Also if i have to have linux version does anyone know of a linux version of MSN messenger? :)
programs that are made to run on ms do not work on linux, that is why many people keep a parition for windows to play certain games and such. For the msn part, you can try looking HERE for a list of linux equivalent to many windows progs ;)
have to be linux, or u can run win32 apps emulated with wine im sure.
also http://amsn.sourceforge.net/ msn for linux.
If you have Mandrake then most of the programs you need are already at your disposal.Quote:
