Ok, how can I create shortcuts (either in desktop or in the redhat menu) for programs that I have to run through a terminal?
I know you can right-click icons (or executables), and click make link, then move it to the desktop. However, it asks me if I want to run it in a terminal....etc.etc.etc., such as Firefox.
So if there's any way to avoid this, please let me know.

I think I've gained enough respect to not be considered either of both in certain matters, specially not an idiot.
I ask here because I can't find it. AFAIK, this section was put up for people to post questions as the such, for experienced people like yourself to help with.
Most I've done in this forum and other forums I've been at, is help people. I don't call people noobs. Ignorance is one thing, stupidity is another.

wow, wtf is all that about? ive been coming in here for a couple of days so i can workk out how to use the linux which i just installed - but im pretty sure that if thats the reaction id get i wont be posting any questions, i didnt realise that this is a section purely for linux experts to discuss complicated things

I'm not helping anyone that I see won't even attempt to help themeselves. And there are other forums you can go to to get help. Don't expect to get any real problems solved here.
