well im going to be switching my isp soon to another DSL company but they require u to have ur own DSL modem or u have to pay 10$ per month extra to rent it <_<
so im getting this deal...
Speadstream 4060 DSL USB MODEM for $10 including shipping :rolleyes:
but the problem is that its a usb modem... and in the future if i plan to get another computer and router how am i suppose to hook the router up then? :blink: sinse its only USB :01:
is there a usb to ethernet thingy :helpsmile:
I think there are such converters :)
so i should get the modem?

or i might switch to 3web($25 3000/800) but some ppl on dsl reports have been saying bad stuff about 3web and they seem to have a cap as well...

I wouldnt get a modem.
I have had a replacement modem 3 times in the last year or so. I only pay $2.50 US a month for renting it, but its payed off.
here in canada u have to pay $10CAD per month to rent the dam modem....Quote:

Why do you need a convertor? Almost all modems have a usb port on them as well.

i got one free when i signed up for my dsl, but i didn't want a USB modem, and bought a netopia ethernet modem.

there arent any that will ship to canada :frusty:
